I am a metrosexual make and like to look the best I can. I found that this works well when I use the Revlon Matt primer along with the liquid True Match super blendable foundation and top it off with the matching super blendable powder. Together, this helps me combat oil and still look clean and healthy. The foundation does not oxidize, change consistency or look any different at the end of the day and that’s a good thing as I want to look the best I can without looking like I am “made up”. It is ironic that male makeup is so taboo as many men compliment my “good skin” and when I tell them that I am wearing make up, they get very inquisitive about how they too can look better... I have very fair skin and alabaster is the perfect shade for me. I am 46 and I don't wear powder as a rule but this one seems to have a bit of a blurring effect on my skin and doesn't feel as drying and heavy as others I've tried. It doesn't accentuate wrinkles as badly as most powders do. If you want that 1950s matte classic pinup makeup look then this would be perfect for you. It's not marketed as a foundation but it does cover most of my imperfections all on it's on. I do need concealer for my melasma and undereye area. It has a beautiful creamy , finely milled feeling. I've been using this powder for years. It doesn't clog my pores, and it's not heavy on my skin. It's more translucent. I love it. It doesn't look like I am wearing powder. I put on a light moisturizer with spf and I put this right on top.

    • Searched Far And Wide For Perfect Powder Foundation

I had been looking for the right makeup for my skin for years. I found that every liquid foundation, no matter how matte, ends up melting or evaporating off within a short while. Or it becomes texturized looking to where its obvious there's makeup on but in a bad way. So I began using powder foundations but the ones that matched my color and looked good always ended up being discontinued. I don't know why I never tried this one, since it's one of the best well known and can be found in almost any drugstore. I think it's because it's not a foundation, or stated as such. But I ended up going through all the powder foundations in my search and none of them looked exactly right. If the shade was right, the undertone wasn't. Or the powder got greasy somehow, or wore off super fast. Or looked chalky. When I first tried this, in alabaster I realized it's pointless to look any further because this is the perfect powder. It' so perfect that it can be used as a foundation if a way can be found to keep it on all day. I did find one primer that works for that but the problem I have is I need to wear sunscreen, and not the thin invisible chemical ones, but the thicker mineral ones. And this powder looks good over them but they themselves tend to melt the same way liquid foundation does. I tried looking for a primer with SPF but all were chemical. And so far the one primer I like, doesn't work when I use it over or under sunscreen, it only works when I wear it alone with the powder over it. But that is another issue and one I hope to solve. It is really good for the price, and for not being high end. It lasts until the next day and looks like my skin tone. It’s hard for me to get matched, even when shopping at a big name store. I am really amazed at the quality and longevity. I will keep buying this product. It looks natural, blends well and sets great. Don’t waste another penny on prestige cosmetics. L’Oreal is superior at 1/3 the price. Use this with or without foundation. I don’t have the best complexion because I am a natural redhead… If I don’t feel like, or I don’t have time to apply make up I just use a little of this under my eyes and across my nose and chin and I have a smooth even toned complexion.
