To be clear, the base is stable when you fill with 135-150 lbs of sand, but the frame itself slides together on a "track". Unfortunately, the track does not have a bottom 'stopper' so it will slide completely off the corners if not sitting flat. Again, 99% of the time it is sitting flat, but if I had to pick up the base to move it, it will likely come part and have to be 're-slotted'. The umbrella is large (as advertised and looks good when expanded. The lever assembly seems sturdy/well made. Ive had it for one month, so the jury is out on how long it will last. I took the precautionary measures to use WD-40 on the screws that hold the umbrella in place, as I could quickly see some corrosion on the screws. And like most umbrellas, those screws will scratch the pole wihen tightening it down. I put WD-40 on that contact point as well, just to protect it. Overall, a good value for the price I paid.

Umbrella quality is much better than I expected for the price. It was very easy to put together. Instructions called for 75 pounds of sand. It was difficult to find bags of sand by weight, but 4 bags each at 0.5 cubic feet was perfect. The shade coverage is excellent. The only downside is that the main pole diameter was larger than the hole in our outdoor table. We cannot use the umbrella with that table. For now we have the umbrella as a stand-alone feature with seating area - until we purchase a different table with a larger hole. Still, I highly recommend this umbrella.

After installation, they look sturdy, elegant, and very well-designed. This patio umbrella is huge and provides excellent shade coverage. It works great over my outdoor table and sitting area, and the blue color looks very nice in person. The double-sided design makes a big difference compared with a regular umbrella, especially for covering a larger patio space. Looks great - color as described and great size. I may have missed it in the description but the base is a frame with a CANVAS shell and its bags you are supposed to fill with sand. Wish it had wheels to easily move it around but probably would have added cost. I was hoping it would fit in my pool sleeves but the pole diameter is larger than the sleeve. Ugh the bars continue to fall out when you close the umbrella it’s extremely frustrating they don’t stay attached. So we are constantly putting them back on - not sure why the bars are not one solid piece! We will see how long it lasts in the AZ sun. Overall seems ok.
