It’s holds the Earth itself it seems, you’ll probably never run out of space, and if you did, you probably couldn’t carry it. There are so many pockets it’s honestly confusing. But I’ll get used to that. The only bad things are that the waist strap doesn’t get snug no matter how tight I pull it, I think it’s mean for guys with a 40inch waist or something. Also, the buttons that hold the extra bags through the molle straps tend to come loose, granted I’m going down the interstate at high speed on a motorcycle when I’m using this, so ymmv. I ordered a camelbak to use with it, and the particular one I bought won’t fit the straw thing into the clip, the hose it too large. So it’s not perfect, but it does everything I need it to. Well, I bought 4 of these, 3 to make into bug out bags, one as an accident but now in use as my toolbag. I've got no complaints, but can think of some things which would improve it. First is two loops on the bottom. There seems to be no reason for them. Used as lashing points for a sleeping bag, the bag will just swing and unbalance you. And there are no corresponding points to secure it to have the sleeping bag attack to the bottom. So I had to improvise an attachment where the waist belt is attached. Next is the fact there is some wasted space on it, with no zipper to open a decorative section. If there was a zipper, maps and documents could be stashed in it, leaving the maps and documents safe and out of the way. Next, there is no padding on the waist belt. This makes it only suited for short stretches of time. An accessory set of pads would help. Also the waist belt is relatively short. Thankfully the waist belt for the detachable waist bag can be adapted to increase the length of the belt. Last, the secondary compartment is about half the size of the main compartment. Good for clothes and other such items. So, very good for a Bug Out Bag, not too good for long through hikes. ... show more

I think the thing I like the most about this backpack is the Molle feature. This has lots of pockets for a variety of load out options. I actually removed the hip pack and replaced it with my sleeping bag with a pair of custom straps. Worked out great. The number of Molle loops make this bag ideal for creating a quick bug out bag with supplies and materials to last up to three days. Beyond that, hunting skills will be required. The Biggest detractor is the waist belt. It is little more than just two inch nylon webbing. While you can certainly sinch it down tight enough to take the weight off your shoulders, after a few hours, it begins to dig into your waist line. Eventually gravity will take over and the weight will transfer back to your shoulders. This isn't a big deal if you are carrying a light load, but can become uncomfortable quickly if you are on a trail. The company would certainly fix this issue with the introduction of an attachable padded to attach to the already present belt. This would go a long way toward long term comfort on the trail. The main compartment is large enough to carry my tent, pillow, grill, collapsible stove, propane cylinder, and food packs, and one 9x9 camping tarp. The smaller compartment is enough to carry two or three days of clothes. The included add on pouches were enough to house an array of additional items that I take onto the trail. These include battery packs, lights, fire starters, headlamps, water purification kit and a host of other tools. Going one step further, my wife bought me an great med kit for hiking that fit perfectly on the side of the Molle attachments as well as an additional sleeve for my water bottle. The main pocket has a generous pouch for hydration bladders, as well as a small hole in the top to feed the hydration straw through. This was handy, but the bag has no internal frame, so I found that the bladder rested against my back constantly and I was always worrying about it bursting on the trail. Overall, a really good backpack. The manufacturer would do well to consider the padded belt attachment suggestion. That would propel this backpack from good to must have. I would definitely recommend for single day hikes. I still use this on my day trips, but for overnight is serves as a back up when I'm taking a friend. ... show more
