After using the litter box for just over a week, I’m happy with how it’s performing overall. The core function works as expected. It cleans clumps reliably without any jams or errors. The tracking features are also useful. It records each cat’s weight and bathroom visits and distinguishes my two cats with different colors correctly. It also captures a photo every time a cat uses the box. With two cats using it, the waste bin fills up every four to five days. Emptying it is straightforward, just swap out the plastic bag. It’s basically a convenient upgrade.

The media could not be loaded. This litter box really surprised me. The litter doesn’t stick to the bottom, and it also has a cover-litter function (my cat doesn’t like to bury her poop). This feature really helps me avoid the awkward situation of poop getting stuck on the filter screen. What I like most is the ventilation system. It really helps reduce the odor — even when my kitten poops, it’s not nearly as smelly as before.

Love it, works perfectly, easy to program once you have figured out the number of portions your cat needs. The only thing I would like improved is to have the option of more than 4 meals per day. To program right amount of portions for your cat, use the manual option to get one portion from the feeder then weigh it to figure out the number of portions you need per day for your cat and spread that between 1 to 4 meals.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been really happy with the PETLIBRO litter box overall, and it has been a noticeable upgrade from our previous setup. One thing I really like is the open design with the built-in lighting — it makes a big difference when checking the box. I can see pee and poop very clearly, which makes it much easier to monitor cleanliness and keep track of my cat’s bathroom habits. Another big plus is how quickly my cat adjusted to it. It didn’t take long at all for him to start using it, and he actually picked this open litter box over my other enclosed one. That was a pleasant surprise, the open style seems to feel more comfortable for him. The AI feature is also better than I expected. It correctly identified the type of urination, and the screenshot function is especially useful because it lets me see the clumps clearly.

I bought this autofeeder just before the Thanksgiving holiday for which I was going out of town. When I programmed the machine to test it before leaving, I found that, once it starts dispensing food, it doesn’t stop. This happened regardless of how it was programmed and when I hit the “Feed” button, which is supposed to dispense a single “portion.” The only “potion” this thing is capable of dispensing is its entire stored contents. In fact, the only way I could get it to stop running was to unplug it and take the batteries out. Regardless, as a result of this thing not working properly, it was too late to find an alternative solution for feeding my cat in my absence and I had to cancel my Thanksgiving plans, missing the opportunity to spend the holiday with my family. The machine came with a customer service card with an email address on it. I emailed the company in hopes that they would immediately replace the machine, but they laid out a convoluted procedure for me to follow before I could get a replacement. As this created work for me after their product created a huge inconvenience for me, I decided I’d just return it to Amazon and buy a different brand autofeeder. Me jumping through their hoops would be me adding insult to my injury. A note to manufacturers/sellers: If you’re going to include a customer service card and ask us to contact you when there’s a problem, your solution needs to be easier and/or better than us just returning the item and leaving a negative review. As this manufacturer’s/seller’s solution was more painful than just returning the thing to Amazon, I’m returning it and leaving this negative review. Good customer service is supposed to serve the customer, not you. If you had agreed to immediately replace the product and/or offered me something gratis for the inconvenience your faulty product caused me, I wouldn’t have left this negative review. Lesson learned I hope.

This has been so helpful for putting my cat on a diet. She’s always been a free-feeder, getting her bowl replaced once a day. When she noticed we decreased her daily refill, she started panic eating everything all at once. This feeder allowed me to space out her daily food into four servings a day and now she knows the routine. This has been the ideal option for me (not having to be home to feed multiple times a day) and her (not having to waiting for a tardy human).
