I put this together myself in about an hour which is saying ALOT!! I usually wait for my husband to do projects like this. Too many pieces give me anxiety. This was already pretty much put together. I used gorilla glue in all the peg holes for extra support. I took it easy not to over turn the screws with the drill. Easy as pie assembly and instructions. Was delivered promptly, had all the pieces packaged and labeled very well. Nice slide out tray. Looks easy to pull apart and clean. I'm very impressed. I got this for $199 and it's worth every penny. I'm going to use clear flex seal spray paint to seal it to make it last a little bit longer. The paint is flat paint so it might weather easy in wet climates. I'm also going up raise it up a tad by placing it on 6x6 posts so there is a little more air flow underneath. I can see where the complaints might come from about its sturdiness but it's probably because they overturned the screws using a power drill and stripped screws. Cute but it has fallen apart after one year. Started warping after rain. The panels began shifting and now the bottom of the nesting boxes has fallen out. Would not recommend.

Not bad but like all of these instant coop products, the materials are not very sturdy. I added a few reinforcing screws just to make sure that stress points were secure. Roof might last a year but is, again, not very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Would not use outside of an enclosure as it is definitely not predator proof. Using for our bantams. Not much room for standard size birds so if you have more than 4 large birds you are going to need a bigger coop. ... show more

    • Thought this would be better
Cheep. No roosting bars, worried my chickens will fall through the floor of this thing. Too much of a hassle to return, will turn into firewood. Not very sturdy, size is correct, easy to assemble. Would not say it’s worth the money.

    • Tiny, cheap, my fault for not building it myself.
It is EXTREMELY tiny. You can't put any food or water in here. There is no real perch - they have some little scrap wood piece like 2" off the ground, which chickens hate. Had to add one. Hinges are wonky, have to shimmy the door in. The droppings pan is metal, so good for washing and also a nice way to burn their feet when it's summer, sheesh. I covered it with cheap linoleum tile. The egg box locks are super hard to twist open. Basically because everything shifts and the wood and hardware is very soft an cheap. It looks cute enough and will do until we finish the big one but it is for 2 chickens max. Unless you want to provide less space than a factory farm, max this out at 2 chickens. ... show more

Sturdy and in good shape came with extra screws which was great because I lost a few. Definitely suggest two people to put it together but it is do-able with one person, I did it myself. The styrofoam got all stuck to the pieces and my chickens ate some because I couldn’t get it off for the life of me I ended up covered in it too but other than that I love it! This is my second time buying this coop the first time wasn’t as great but they definitely made improvements and I’m happy they did! All the pieces were in great shape no cracks or marks and my chickens love it (the roost bars are uselessly low though is one improvement they could make) ... show more

first - definately needs to be treated for outside use. wood is flimsy like plywood second- no quality control. some pieces were chipped and splintered.... latch is somehow turned inside out..........roof pegs don’t line up with the box and be careful! don’t pull too hard or you will destroy life the whole thing not huge so double check your measurements thirds directions are a joke. common sense is what gets you thru it really expected better for that many stars ... show more
