  • Great chicken coop !!!!
I put this together myself in about an hour which is saying ALOT!! I usually wait for my husband to do projects like this. Too many pieces give me anxiety. This was already pretty much put together. I used gorilla glue in all the peg holes for extra support. I took it easy not to over turn the screws with the drill. Easy as pie assembly and instructions. Was delivered promptly, had all the pieces packaged and labeled very well. Nice slide out tray. Looks easy to pull apart and clean. I'm very impressed. I got this for $199 and it's worth every penny. I'm going to use clear flex seal spray paint to seal it to make it last a little bit longer. The paint is flat paint so it might weather easy in wet climates. I'm also going up raise it up a tad by placing it on 6x6 posts so there is a little more air flow underneath. I can see where the complaints might come from about its sturdiness but it's probably because they overturned the screws using a power drill and stripped screws. I can't wait to get chickens. ... show more

  • Decent little coop but came in broken
The only negative thing is that one of the side panels came in broken. I had to use wood glue to fix the crack. Other than that all parts were accounted for. Overall it’s a nice little coop, I would say it’s large enough for 4-5 standard size chickens and maybe 8 bantams. It only took 30 minutes for me to put together. I will update how it holds up in a few months. ... show more

  • It is trash
Materials are cheap. Mine came with broken slats and they didn't seal up the walls. Leaving gaps between a lot of the slats. The roof does screw on and a little wind will knock it off. I don't think the flooring for the nesting box will hold three chickens. I placed a 25lb weight on it and it damn near broke it. This is bantam sized at best. My brahmas are way heavy for it. ... show more

  • Happy Chicken Lady
The media could not be loaded. I bought this coop for my 4 chickens. The box it was shipped on was a little damaged but thankfully the coop was fine. Don’t use a drill or screw in the screws too tight as it will cause the wood to crack. I painted the whole thing in and out before building. The paint it came with was chipped looking and thin almost like a primer. The chicken door is not very sturdy and broke off while i was building. It’s pretty easy to fix just handle the whole coop with more care and it will be perfect. ... show more

  • Okay for the price
So the coop itself is pretty cute! Smaller than expected and had a broken board and a missing latch that required me to run to the hardware store for but I was committed at that point lol that aside it is okay. There are a lot of pieces, hopefully that are all there for you , but I’m 5’2 135lb female and managed to assemble it alone so not too tough . Was hoping the quality would have been better for the price but it’ll do for now. ... show more

  • Could not resist buying
This house is so cute! The product arrived promptly and in good condition. No perch was included but the internet provided very good information. I've been keeping cage and aviary birds for forty years and didn't know how different the requirements are for chickens. I have Serama chickens and there is plenty of room for 2 roos and 3 hens. The house is located in a space 4' x 10' with a 30'x3'r alley run behind the parrot aviary. I made slight modifications which included raising the legs 8" by using "bed blocks" to allow the chickens to run under the house. The house is very sturdy and well built. A very good investment. ... show more

  • Good coop
Sturdy and in good shape came with extra screws which was great because I lost a few. Definitely suggest two people to put it together but it is do-able with one person, I did it myself. The styrofoam got all stuck to the pieces and my chickens ate some because I couldn’t get it off for the life of me I ended up covered in it too but other than that I love it! This is my second time buying this coop the first time wasn’t as great but they definitely made improvements and I’m happy they did! All the pieces were in great shape no cracks or marks and my chickens love it (the roost bars are uselessly low though is one improvement they could make) ... show more

  • Decent little hen house, has some minor annoyances.
This is a cute little hen house. probably okay for up to 3 hens (4 if you have smaller breed) not the highest quality but adequate. will last a few years at least I'm sure. Annoyance #1: the main thing I do not like is that sometimes my hens lay in the very far back end (across from the nesting boxes) and it's nearly impossible to reach that location to collect the eggs since the little ramp door on the left side is very narrow. I wish there was a 2nd access door on the other end to make it easier in this event. I have to call my super lanky monkey armed husband out every time I get an egg over there. Lucky for me I married a mutant. Annoyance #2: back to the limited access to areas of the coop. makes it somewhat difficult to clean well. the addition of a second door on the other end would correct this (or a hinged roof?) a 2nd matching door would also make this unit much more flexible regarding where you can place it if in a smaller area. I will probably break down and add a 2nd matching ramp door here shortly. if you get this coop you should have it in your mind you will likely want to as well. ... show more
