This is a wonderful starter chicken coop. Six nesting boxes, and can fit quite a few chickens on roost. The directions are not very clear however if you look at the pictures provided can figure out the missing information very easily. Definitely not the most sturdy product. If you plan on using this for a permanent placement application it will work very well. You can easily expand the run to a larger area utilizing the coop for your chicken house, or open and close the door as needed for free range.

Exactly what we needed for our chickens

This is CHEAP. You are not getting what you pay for. The size is fine for 4 chickens but anything more, you need to get the double coop. The assembly was a nightmare. None of the holes aligned to where you nail together. The wood is not sturdy. It’s soft and not meant to be outside, especially with midwestern weather. The only positive is that our cat likes to lay on top and watch the chickens below. So the chicken wire is fastened well enough that it hasn’t broke…yet.

I gave this Coop two stars because it won’t last long. This is just a step above cardboard. Mini pieces were split. The directions were horrific outside of that how they used just a slightly better quality wood. This would be a top notch Coop. It’s also missing a door that you can open and close to let the birds in and out so I think that’s something they could add to this Coop. I also had to adapt the back door because they gave you two little heart shaped blocks of wood to keep it closed, which is ridiculous. I put hinges on one side and latches on the other seems fine. Also, there’s no place for me to hang a heat lamp for my baby chicks. The removable tray inside the Coop is nice. That’ll make for easy cleaning the latches that came with it also were poor thin quality. If you’re looking for something fast that will work until you have time to really make a good structure that will last a season. This will do as long as it doesn’t arrive broken. I’ve included some pictures of the pieces that were split.

The coop seems a good fit for my 5 chickens. Although, it does not seem like it will last more than a year or so. Wood is very flimsy. There are many gaps where there should not be gaps that will let cold winter winds in. And... THERE IS NO DOOR to close my girls up at night, so no way to keep them warm and protected. Latches are also very worrisome. I just put it together today, so definitely making some modifications. Better latches, a door to close the opening at the top of the ramp, sealing up the gaps, and screwing in the bottom of the roosting boxes so predators can't just push up through. Instructions may as well have not existed, that's how terrible they were. It does look nice, but I really don't think it will hold up long. Spend extra... get a well built coop once, instead of something like this every other year.

First time chicken owners. So far this coop is perfect. Hens are 7/8 weeks and have adapted well to it. We did some reinforcement to keep out critters (see photo - frame with mesh under the house) and added the solar door that lets them in and out. It was easy to assemble and arrived early with all parts. The four star is because I feel it is overpriced for the quality. I don’t imagine it will last very long. We have not had any rain so i am not sure how it will hold up after a winter. We figure we can fix, repair, replace as we go. It’s a great starter house. We have 8 hens and so far they have plenty of room. We let them out a lot too. Easy to get into the house for cleaning and the nesting boxes.

This coop seemed great at first but it just falls apart. First, the ramp broke pretty quickly. Then the nesting boxes fell out from the bottom on one side, we've put that side back together twice with reinforcements and then the other side completely fell off. Our poor girls. The perches are at the same level as the nesting boxes as well so expect them to sleep in the nesting boxes. This coop is hardly big enough for 2 chickens. Not worth the cost.
