    • They leak air and whistle. Soumds like a tire losing air!

I prefer to use the metal air check valves because the are easier for my hands to make fine adjustments. Not these though. They work fine full bore but just try to adjust them and the start to whistle. I went through the whole bag of them and they all whistled. I had to use 1 because I did not have enough old plastic ones or I would have returned the lot of them. That one I stuck underwater so I didn't have to listen to it. Not a good value! ... show more

I got these to use for water shutoff valves. the 3 16 hose I'm using did not have a have a tight seal. Being used to this I dabbed some silicone on the valve working fine.

Item description saying “one way” which made me think the device has built in check valve safety I need to prevent back flow water. Nope, it doesn’t have it. Please the misleading “one way” from description.
