This bubbler has two features which set it apart: it’s acrylic, so it should last much longer than air stones (and is more attractive, IMHO), and it’s designed to create smaller bubbles. Smaller bubbles means more surface area which allows more oxygen to dissolve into the water. Hygger claims the use of EVA material to create bubbles is more corrosion-resistant than the material used by competitors, and that it will never clog. When I first connected to the bubbler to my air pump, the bubbles were plentiful, but no smaller in size than my other air stone. Then I saw in the manual that the bubbler requires an air pump of at least 2 watts to produce small bubbles, and my pump is 3 watts, but has two outflows. I connected the bubble to another 3 watt bubbler and indeed the bubbles were smaller. I then spoke to Hygger support who told me to use the pliers to tighten the cover on the disk to generate smaller bubbles (I had hand-tightened it). After that, small bubbles were produced using both pumps. The set includes a 1.77-inch (45mm) air bubbler, a 2-meter air tube (4mm diameter), a suction cup, a check valve, and stainless steel pliers (to adjust the size of the bubbles, and to remove the top of the bubbler to clean it, if necessary). I recommend this air bubbler.

The media could not be loaded. The weight of this AirStone is phenomenal, it's nice to have an air stone that you don't have to bury with sand to keep it from floating. I have had many aquariums in my life and all of them have had some type of an air stone in it. They all wore out, got gunked up, stopped working or broke. This one is the first one that you can actually take apart and clean I haven't had it long enough to give a review on how it is to clean but I can tell by the way it's made that it's going to last a long time & I know that if I need another I will purchase one without hesitation. Priced right, good quality item.

One might think that this product is overkill as far as an aquarium airstone goes, but it is easily placed (and stays in place) without the struggle of a suction cup and the bubbles are a good size. I like it!

I originally bought the larger 3.1 " and it worked very well so I have over a period of time ended up buying four of the 2.3" size. I have been using them in a hydroponic set up to increase O2 level, and over a period of time the nutrients fall out of solution and plug up an air stone. These seem to be much easier for me to clean and return to service. I did not think I was really getting the stone clean on other products I have used. These are made of some type of plastic, they come a part, and appear to completely clean when I am done cleaning them. It took me a little bit of time to learn how much to tighten them when I put them back together, but you can adjust the size of air bubbles to some extent depending on how tightly you assemble them. They have a material between layers of plastic that cause the bubbles, and they seem to be holding up after repeated cleanings, but time will tell. I am not sure if you can purchase replacement parts or if I break one I just have to get a complete new air stone, but so far the are holding up very well.

This worked great for about a month. It slowed down and I used the provided tool to open it and clean it. I cleaned the tube as well. It only gives off the finest trickle of bubbles now. Total waste of money, wish I could return it.

This works really well but after a week it clogged up so bad it blew the airline off my pump. I took it apart and cleaned it real well and put it back together then the bubbles were no longer micro and more like just random large bubbles. After a few days it started making micro bubbles again but a few days after that it is flogged up again. Aquarium is clean, low algae and crystal clear water so I have no idea what is causing it to clog up. Just not that great. For the money, just not worth it.

The media could not be loaded. We ordered 2 for our 125g fish tank we are setting up. The disc's are so nice and clean looking. The set up was easy. We did purchase more tubing than what was provided due to our tank being large. The fish are enjoying swimming in it. It doesn't make much noise. When the room is silent you can hear the bubbles at the top. You are able to adjust the size of the bubbles which is useful. I think I got more than my money's worth. This brand hasn't let me down yet!
