    • Attractive, well made, bubbler with small bubbles

The media could not be loaded. This bubbler has two features which set it apart: it’s acrylic, so it should last much longer than air stones (and is more attractive, IMHO), and it’s designed to create smaller bubbles. Smaller bubbles means more surface area which allows more oxygen to dissolve into the water. Hygger claims the use of EVA material to create bubbles is more corrosion-resistant than the material used by competitors, and that it will never clog. When I first connected to the bubbler to my air pump, the bubbles were plentiful, but no smaller in size than my other air stone. Then I saw in the manual that the bubbler requires an air pump of at least 2 watts to produce small bubbles, and my pump is 3 watts, but has two outflows. I connected the bubble to another 3 watt bubbler and indeed the bubbles were smaller. I then spoke to Hygger support who told me to use the pliers to tighten the cover on the disk to generate smaller bubbles (I had hand-tightened it). After that, small bubbles were produced using both pumps. The set includes a 1.77-inch (45mm) air bubbler, a 2-meter air tube (4mm diameter), a suction cup, a check valve, and stainless steel pliers (to adjust the size of the bubbles, and to remove the top of the bubbler to clean it, if necessary). This is just fantastic! Air stones are as old as the hobby itself. This is very unique. I purchased this and it had an issue with the bubbles. Turns out you really need to tighten it down using the odd pliers (supplied) Makes nice small bubbles. The best part? You won't find it floating. It's nicely weighted. ... show more

I wanted some bubbles for my painted turtle and it works well for that. He was drawn to it right away. Only complaint is the sound, it’s not a soft sound and a little distracting. Guess I’ll get used to it!

The media could not be loaded. This product far surpass what I had hoped for. Even w the small 2&1/2 gallon tank I have and an air pump that’s not quite 2w, this product has been perfect! I know if I upgrade to a larger tank this product will still be perfect and way better than any other air stone on the market. It’s well worth the $ any day! I’d much rather know the products I purchase can be used for years to come, no matter how I decide to change up my tanks! Thank you very much! I’ll be a customer for life. Ps, the sound from my pump & the product isn’t even close to as loud as the video makes this seem! I happen to like the sound from the bubbles breaking on top of the water, it’s actually quite soothing and my betta loves to play in the bubbles all the time! I got this to replace my traditional airstone. My airstone was covered in algae that wouldnt come off due to the porous nature of the stone. So I purchased this in the hopes i could clean it when necessary. I use the small one in my 13 gallon tank. It has strong power, but it is kinda loud compared to the traditional airstone through Hygger. I dont mind the white noise, but it might bother some. I bought the previous version of this air stone but it got really dirty fast and didn’t work that well. I was looking for a new air stone and I went to the hygar store and found this newer version with acrylic protecting the air piece and you could adjust the size and quantity of the bubbles. It was a no brainer because all hygar products are very well made and last for years so I didn’t hesitate buying it. After I let it soak the required time and tested it in my tank and found the recommended size air pump. It was very disappointing because the bustles were smaller but the quantity was low so I continued trying to make it work correctly by making adjustments to the air stone. After 2 hours had passed I gave up and used an older I had and it worked perfectly. Don’t wast your time with this bubbler used the tried and true bubblers that have been around awhile. ... show more

It took a little fiddling to get it to start bubbling nicely (I'd chalk it up to user error because I couldn't decide how tightly to twist the disk), but I love this. I am so tired of buying the same junky air stones that clog over and over. The bubble size is good and it's not overly loud and the acrylic disk looks nice. It has resisted getting covered in algae and gunk so far aside from when my goldfish spit gravel on it. ... show more
