  • Works like a charm!!!
Bought this and was a bit skeptical, but hooked it up and literally within a week my tank was crystal clear and not only that it was the clearest tank in my fishroom. Had a TON of green water in my tank and couln't even see an inch into the tank. I hooked this up to my Fluval 407 that is connected to my 75 gallon tank and it worked perfectly! Was super easy to install as well. HIGHLY suggest getting this if you are having issues with green water. Wish I would have taken pictures, but "luckily" once my 75 gallon tank cleared up, another one of my tanks started to suffer from green water so I just purchased another one of these and I will post a new reiview with pictures of the stages of the tank when that clears. ... show more

  • Will prevent pathogenic and algae blooms.
The media could not be loaded. After repeated algae blooms and cloudy water from pathogens, I got this Fluval UV water sterilizer. I had 1/2" filter inlet/outlet pipes so I had to use 1/2“X5/8“ nylon hose barb adapters because the Fluval 207 uses 5/8“ ID vinyl. I checked the unit before install to make sure the light was coming on, keep that in mind. Update: Well, it has been almost a week with the UV light on for 10 hrs a day. I started with 8 hrs a day, but bumped it up to 10 hrs before I started seeing the water become clearer. So just about a week for the water to become crystal clear. I noticed some change after a day. Best money I could have spent as this will kill pathogens in the water that can cause disease, I can even notice the fish become more active. The water almost looks so clear like it was being filtered with a diatom filter. The video is looking long ways through the tank. ... show more

  • Works great
I returned this item, because I needed a different one. Fluval items are top notch. I took pictures of the one that I had to buy, because of my Fluval filter. But I have no doubt that the one I returned would have did the same job.

  • It cleared up my tank quickly.
I was struggling with algae overgrowth. The water was so murky even after many water changes and cleanup. Nothing seemed to make a difference. After using the uv light for just a few days it cleared up and after a week is clearer than ever before. I used this with my fluval 307, easy to install.

  • High Quality Just make sure it is for your system!
Even though I was unfortunately unable to use the Fluval In-Line UVC Clarifier due to compatibility issues with my setup, I still wanted to leave a positive review based on the product’s design, quality, and reputation. When I first received it, I was impressed with how well-made and compact it is. The materials feel durable, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’ve read so many positive experiences from other aquarium owners who saw dramatic improvements in water clarity after installing this unit, which was the main reason I purchased it. Unfortunately, my filter hoses were not the right size for this particular model, so I couldn’t install it on my system. That’s my own oversight, not a fault of the product itself. If your setup is compatible, I have no doubt this clarifier would work well, especially for green water and cloudy water issues. Although I had to return it, I would still recommend it to other aquarium owners who want an easy, in-line solution for keeping their tanks clear. Just be sure to check your hose size before purchasing! ... show more

  • Works perfect for green algae
My 30 gallon fish tank developed green algae where the water was almost a highlighter green color. I did frequent water changes and it would not go away. I bought this and about 3-4 days after installing the water turned to a darker green. After the next water change the water stayed clear and has been perfectly clear for the past month. I will never have another tank without one of these. Highly recommend! It’s near silent. The only downfall is when you do a water change, water gets in the water tubing and clarifier, so turning the pump backs on blows a lot of junk into the tank. I didn’t have this issue before the clarifier, so there may be dead algae building up in the clarifier or extra hose. Just have a small bucket under the tank inlet to catch it after restarting the pump. ... show more

  • Already broken. Not sure if it ever worked.
I was SO EXCITED FOR THIS. The only two companies I ever brag about is fluval and Seachem. Fluval makes great canister filters. However after spending almost 80 bucks I am left with an attachment that is burnt out and showing red after 2 months. I know uv light works great as I’ve seen done in cheap submersible ones. However even on cheap models you can see the light. I have seen nothing done for my aquarium and now this is probably confirming my suspicion that it never worked. Incredibly sad to see 1 of my 2 favorite companies let me down like this. 😔 ... show more

  • Hey you all
Seems to be doing it's job I've had issues with cyanobacteria and long hair green algae I've been using on steady setting for about 2 weeks. I have no growth of cyanobacteria in tank other than some still in substrate. But is dead just attached to sand grains. Not ready for a reset. So I'm happy with the results. Remember it only kills the spores not stuff attached to glass or objects. So stuff needs to be cleaned off. Well worth the funds ... show more
