Great RO/DI, not so bad for the price being that it has a 5 stage filtration system. I was looking for a good RO/DI so I decided to get this one. I wanted to get one that would be worth the money and that would not be faulty and stop working after a few months. After doing some research and reading reviews I selected this filter. The shipping time was good, going from California to Connecticut. The filter its self works really great. After flushing the membrane for 30 mins as it states in the instructions. The first bucket came out to 3 ppm but soon after a few more buckets it went down to zero. The instructions were easy to understand and there were many extra pieces, a lot of extra blue security braces. My only question is whether or not I should empty the water that is in the chamber when I am not using the filtration system. I am using this system to make water for my salt water tank, so I use it every other week. It has been working really well and I am glad I selected this system. ... show more

I’ve contemplated this system vs one on a popular aquarium accessory store and this one was a better value. I am new to the saltwater aquarium world. Starting my first saltwater aquarium 38 gal. The unit arrived earlier than expected. Although the info included was very vague and didn’t really “instruct” anything. It wasn’t that hard to figure out. Thankfully it was all mostly put together on arrival. Minus the intake tube and the outtake tube. No real assembly required. I do want to point out the unit itself is a lot larger than i was imaging. Again i am new to this whole pure water thing so i had no clue it would be so massive. Got it put together in about 5 minutes. Flushed the membrane for 30min as instructed. Then made ten gallons of water. I checked my psi and it’s within range for optimal use but let me say. For 50 GPD this thing pumps out a lot of good water for me. I was able to get 20 gallons in 3 hours. It could be the quality of my water is not that bad but this thing is amazing. Water tests at 0ppm every time. The tap water regularly reads at 89ppm. The waste water reads at 145ppm. Overall this unit is reliable, sturdy, and user friendly. It’s good to know i am providing the best water to my aquariums. At the $120 price i def think it’s worth it. Great investment. I will keep this review update if things change. Ps. I forgot to order the auto tip off valve when i purchased but i emailed the provider afterward and they sent it out no problem. Great service. ... show more

This is a 10/5 stars for function and price. It does what it says and seems to be high quality materials. The filtration brought me to about 5 TDS. The only negative is that it leaks really bad. I looked at the instructions and online videos and it seems to be missing the little blue ring snap things for where the hoses plug in and I think that might be why. The packaging said it had materials that were not there BUT overall it works. Thankfully I was planning on using it outside with the hose attachment that works perfectly well. It will fill a 5 gallon bucket in about two hours so I just set a timer and go check on it. ... show more

    • Great water filter for my saltwater aquarium!!!
I was hesitant to buy any filtration system because I was intimidated about the installation. This unit arrive well packaged and in perfect condition. Very solid unit. Came with detailed, step by step instructions on installation. Also came with a few extra connectors for future use if something should break. It came with a connector to use with a hose or sink faucet however I decided to install it under my laundry room sink. Easy installation with an angle stop adapter I bought from Lowes. Fit nicely under my sink and did not need to be screwed down at all. Comes with a flush valve already in place. I did also install a psi meter and TDS meter I bought on Amazon for about $10 a piece making this whole unit very affordable. My water pressure runs at 45 psi and I had 3 gallons produced per hour which was faster than I expected. Normal water waste produced. My TDS measured 5-10 before the DI and 0 after the DI. Very happy with the water quality. This unit exceeded my expectations. I know it will pay for itself very quickly and no more trips to the LFS for water. Highly recommend. ... show more

Simply put, this appears to be a quality product at an affordable price. You won't be disappointed. This is a great product and the seller is a great seller. The item arrived and was a missing piece (it happens). They shipped the missing part within 12 hours of being contacted, no questions asked. This was on a Saturday and I received the part on Wednesday. Besides the excellent customer service, the product included very good documentation for installation and maintenance. Do yourself a favor and follow the directions for flushing the carbon filter before putting the unit into regular operation. The manual was hardly needed as the system was essentially ready to go out of the box. All one has to do is decide where to mount the unit and how to supply water for filtration. My BlueLabs meter reads 134 PPM going in and 0 PPM coming out. Everyone's water quality and pressure will be different, but I am able to get 70 gallons of pure water a day. ... show more
