If you have this tank, this protein skimmer is the one that fits in perfectly. For me, had to have my LFS tech put it in, set it up and ensure it was working correctly. Just one precaution, this will strip the tank of nitrates and phosphates so if you have corals that rely on them, you may not want to use this OR ensure it is at the lowest rate of waste removal. Pricy, like everything for a saltwater aquarium, but if you have corals I think it is an essential tool in good tank husbandry!

Horrible quality. Microbubbles like crazy. No instructions.

Build quality is cheap. Very disappointed in fluval. It snaps together with the suction cups but has no way to seal. Makes a ton of bubbles but they spew out everywhere making a tank full of bubbles. No way to adjust it and little to no instructions on how to operate or adjust it. Epic fail by fluval. Don't get taken like I did.

WELL WORTH THE PRICE.

I installed my Fluval Sea PS1 a week ago. It does what it is advertised to do. Can't give it 5 stars because it emits a humming noise when powered up. I solved that problem by using a timer so that it only runs over night when no one is in the room to be bothered with the hum. It took little effort to install and adjust the unit. So far, it is well worth the price.

Bleh, stupid thing.

I gave this a great review when I bought it, but now about a year later, I'm dropping my review. Call me crazy, but I think a skimmer should last longer than a year. It's been nothing but problems. It skims well when it feels like working, but it fails a lot. The air tube gets clogged constantly. It fell into two halfs a few months after I bought it, and I had to use zip ties to hold it together. It doesn't fit under the lip of any aquarium, save for a Fluval aquarium I assume (never owned one), so you have to cut the lip to make room. And yesterday, it completely crapped out and now I need a new one. If I could go back, I would have spent a little extra money on a better skimmer, no question.

Problem 2 the seams are not tight and it leaks like crazy around the top

This thing is complete junk I ran this thing for 2 months I know they have to break in and I wanted to give it plenty of time. Problem 1 if your tank has a lip on the top its not going n there. Problem 2 the seams are not tight and it leaks like crazy around the top. Problem 3 micro bubbles galore makes your tank look like crap you can adjust put filter socks on it clean it not clean it doesn't matter. Keep your money and get a better skimmer of buy this one and be like me buy this one find out its a piece of junk and pay double because you have to buy a different one.
