  • Very well little pump
This little pump is definitely worth the money it’s small but strong definitely smaller than I expected but does the job very well in my aquaponics system it runs constantly and was as easy as plug and install the tubing

  • Looks the same, but *seriously* outperforms some of the lookalikes.
Sound level is very good for a pump of this flow. I bought it to use in a Low-Pressure Aeroponics setup - emphasis on learning about LPA without breaking the bank. The outside casing makes it look like about 50 other water pumps carrying various names at similar price points and advertised flow rates, but it puts out more than twice the water of a nearly identical-looking 640GPH pump, and my misting heads can be tightened enough to produce very fine mist without stopping the flow altogether. This little 800GPH pump is likely a little less powerful than it claims, as the lift height is stated at 10', and at 6' the water flow is quite restricted. But for a small, cheap "testing" setup, it works great even with 10 misting heads on 1/4" PEC irrigation tubing. The fittings seat and seal well on the pump outlet, and a spare suction cup is included in the box. Also of interest, the noise level is actually lower than my 640GPH pump. Wattage is as specified, with very occasional increase/decrease, and connecting it to my 1500VA/900W UPS system barely increases the load, dropping the 450-minute "unloaded" reserve capacity by just 12 minutes. Running only this pump on it I would have more than 7 hours of water flow if the power goes out. The pump itself is about twice the size of the 640GPH, and more than twice the weight. Mounting it to the side of a reservoir requires an absolute minimum water depth of 5.5", and with a "Y" splitter in the outlet for balanced pressure in a looped irrigation setup I recommend placing one of the nipples on the pump outlet and using tubing to connect the splitter so you can lay the splitter flat in your reservoir and place the pump upright on the bottom as there are water intakes that must both be submerged on both ends of the pump. Using 1/4" irrigation tubing without a cap and free-flowing, the inlet flow control at the front makes no noticeable difference in the amount of water flow, so if precision flow is required you'll need inline valves, but for my setup, adjusting the misting heads is enough. So far, I'm quite impressed with this little guy, and no longer worried about finding my plants dead from lack of hydration or nutrients. If it lasts awhile, this will have been a great buy - one I highly recommend for smaller LPA hydroponics setups or even a 3-bucket tower or up to 10-bucket Dutch Bucket system. At this price point, I can keep a couple of these on the shelf in case of failure, and if they last 6 months or more in use, they'll be well worth the cost. ... show more

  • A Solid Pump That Does Its Job
The VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump works just fine. It’s easy to set up, runs quietly, and moves water exactly the way it’s supposed to. The flow is steady, the build feels sturdy, and it’s been reliable for daily use. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated—just a dependable pump that performs as advertised. If you need a straightforward, no‑nonsense pump that gets the job done without any issues, this one fits the bill. ... show more

  • Definitely get a great product for the price.
Works amazing, moves a lot of water fast. Absolutely perfect for what I needed it for.

  • Perfection.
Our fountain really looks good and sounds good. It has 4 bowls and the water fills a bowl, then spills over into the next bowl. I like the LED lights in the bowls, and I put an LED spotlight on it as well. We sit out on the deck and it sounds nice on a quiet night and the lighting is just right. We enjoy it in the daytime as well. I would give the fountain 5 stars but for 1 thing. The pump was pitiful. It started out well but after a couple of months it became very weak. For the winter I emptied the water and did not set it back up until the middle of March. It was so weak that the stream was not steady and it splashed, wasting water. I may have been able to get another pump from the seller, but didn’t bother. I ordered a different pump from Amazon. It is this VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump(3000L/H, 24W). Is it too much for this fountain? Yes, but it was only $25 and I set it ¼ of the way open, so it doesn’t have to work very hard. I like that I can dismantle it if it needs cleaning. It puts out a steady stream and does not splash. It comes with 3 sizes for the tube and one fits just right. Even though we have two bird baths out back, the birds like this fountain also. We used to have a typical 3-tier fountain that splashed terribly and kept the bed that it was in wet. Then I tried a cascading fountain and pieces of the slate broke off. But this fountain is much better. With the steady stream (with the new pump) it doesn’t splash. ... show more

  • Excellent Water Pump
It's been running for years and very reliable. It's pre filter works very well on everything except "PINE NEEDLES" , the scourge of any pump.

  • Good pump, but won't last long
Well, this will be short. Overall, this pump is strong and has served me well. My ONLY issue is that it only lasted a year. I use it to pump RODI water from a storage tank into portable five gallon jugs, that's it. So besides the fact that it only lasted one year, it is a decent submersible pump.

  • Water pressure is great!
Larger than my last "small" pump so the water flow was much better than I expected. I'm using this in my 50 gallon composite tank with plants and an external 35 gallon barrel (DIY filter with activated carbon and bio balls) for my large dogs drinking water. The pump is in the 50 gallon tank with tubing running the water to the top of the 35 gallon. From there a pvp pipe tanks the water to the bottom of the 35 gallon and then is gravity fed back into the 50 gallon after it goes through my filter media. It took some adjusting to get the pressure right so neither tank filled or emptied too fast but the pump is adjustable and came with multiple nozzles which was nice! ... show more
