This drive is amazing. I write large amount of files at one time , sometimes over 100 GBs. It's faster on large transfers than any other drive , including the ones that say they faster. I'm hitting 500 M/S write sometimes. I don't know why they sat it's write speed is so low. I like these so much that I bought 6 of different sizes.     • Not a good choice for my Macbook
There's a reason Patriot does not provide write speeds for this drive. As others have noted, it's very slow. I copied 340 GB from my M4 Macbook Pro to this drive using a new Gigabit USB A to UCB C/Thunderbolt adaptor. It took 24 hours. That's 3mps.

I like the storage size. I've had a series of WD myClouds die on me for several years in a row and needed alternatives. I use a couple of different Patriot drives and they've been great.

Pretty crazy that you can get a super fast terabyte thumb drive for under $100. If you need to frequently move large amounts of data to and from a thumb drive, I think this is a good investment in time savings for the transfer speeds alone.
