A very easy to install awning, I especially like the torsion design which means there's no bracing that comes down from the awning, meaning nothing to bang my head against as I'm walking around under it. Deploys and retracts smoothly with no binding, and the material feels like a quality that will last years. I did a lot of research before I decided on this awning and I am glad I did. It is perfect and sturdy. Love the fact that it is adjustable in the pitch! Great material and is lovely. I was missing a part that must have fallen off during delivery. I contacted Patisol, and they sent a replacement very quickly! Great customer service. No negatives as of yet. Great price on this retractable awning! Priced a sunsetter of similar size and it was WAY out of my price range. It's manually operated, but so what!? Takes about 2 minutes to extend/retract. The manual says it's only intended to be installed on a reinforced concrete wall. It's really not that heavy, so I went off script and installed it on our covered patio over our back deck. Ran the lag bolts through the 2x6 rafter, and it's fine. Hardware is included if you do want to mount to concrete. Gives us a little more of a shaded area when we have a large amount of people over - our whole backyard is direct sun all day in the summer. I will probably relocate this one and order the 10x7 version for this spot. Very nice for the price! Don't overpay for one that's automatic - it's really no big deal to hand crank this one. Fabric is heavy duty and looks like it will last a long time. I scotchguarded it to give it a little more added UV protection. My recommendation is to get the largest size that will fit where you want to put it. 5-stars all the way! ... show more
