Bought this as a privacy screen for our backyard to divide our yard and give privacy for our hot tub use. I have it mounted at a 45 degree angle. The sail is made of a good and tough material that is water proof, and has handled 3 wind storms this year so far. I recommend using good quality hardware to install it, as getting the appropriate amount of tension to pull this thing taught requires a bit of force and pulling. It's a nice sail, you can't see through it, and water just runs right off of it at the angle we have it. It's already snowed on it, and the snow slid off it.

I really liked the idea of a sky print rather than a solid color so opted for this shade cover. It looks just like picture upon arrival and comes with nice looking thick white rope. Its pretty heavy...w/ no flaps, so I was worried about what might happen when the wind kicked up, as half of it would be secured to a common (old, slightly unstable) fence and that was of concern. (So we returned). The side that faces up is white (not sky blue) which isn't a problem - except that when you look down upon it from a 2nd floor you see white not the pretty sky print. Overall, I'd say its worth it.

Excellent Customer service and responds quickly with my issue. Sent pictures as requested and they responded with sending me a new replacement within days. Product is excellent as described and with this shade it is waterproof and not the mesh type which accumulates rainwater if not installed properly to drain water. Installation must be tight and angle for it to drain and not pool in the middle. I highly recommend the option of quick removal due to wind. It does catch a lot of wind and acts like a kite. Install a cable pulley system to one of the pole to prevent the shade to catch. It looks great and I noticed it is cooler than the mesh fiber type. Believed me I am in Tucson, AZ. Thank you...DM

So, our deck tarp, after 3 yrs of dutiful service, started to fall apart. Old one was Brick red. Came time to order a new one. The convo went like this: What color do you want? Me: not red. Maybe green or blue? But not "tarp blue" more of a sky blue? Him: I gotcha See pic for what he ordered, lol. We hung it print side up and the natural light allows the print to be seen through the White, unprinted underside. The fabric is pretty thick, installation was a breeze bc we had all the original ropes in place already, and the size was exact. We did order the turn buckles for ease of tensioning. We are due rain tonight, so will update on that later. Overall, very pleased! Thank you! It's a conversation starter for sure! Update: April 2025, 11 months after purchase Windstorm came through and dropped a 12ft branch, pointy side down, through the sail leaving a tear. Not the tarp's fault. We did notice that over the 11 months we had it, some pinprick holes had appeared here and there that would occasionally leak if the rain was really heavy and since we have to anchor the ropes to trees (deck is 12ft off the ground), we will sometimes have to prop it up in the middle to keep the water from pooling. All-in-all, still very happy with the purchase as we practically live on the deck nearly year round for our many "stay-cations". Placing another order and while the clouds were fun, you can really see the dirt buildup through the fabric (that didnt show so much with the red sail we had previously), so we will try the turquoise this time.

So I was a bit skeptical about this being "waterproof"; but lo and behold, I was able to sit underneath it during a pretty bad storm and there was no water leakage. In fact, we had to unhook to get the water off the top of it (it did pool, even though we installed it at a 45 degree angle.) The color is also beautiful and bright and it legit blocks the sun and makes the hot days much more bearable.

Thos is NOT WATERPROOF...waste of money...when it rains it gets soooo heavy and it riped the post to which it was attached. Wish I could return this garbage bit return window closed. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT as it was a waste of time, labor charge and money.
