The material wasn't as thick as I thought it would be. Looks much nicer in the video. A lot of anchoring required such as concreted poles in the ground or tapcon screws in the wall. It also stretches over time so you will have to "reset" the poles.

very happy with this shade sail, appears very well made with good stitching and steel corner rings for easy attachment. i am using this as a side to my deck for screen and late afternoon sun blocking because i had to take down a lovely shade tree too close to house. loved the instruction booklet that came with it even though i wasn't using for overhead installation, still very informative. may need them if umbrella i ordered doesn't work out. easily created 2 posts from 2"square wood cut to length (thanks hm dep), stained to match deck, and then attached to decking posts already in place after i put eye screws in the top of the 2" posts. attached shade sail rings to posts with carabiners and used bungee cords for lower attachment to deck posts. turned out great!! quick delivery and well packaged. would buy from seller again. ... show more

This is a nice product. It is not water proof, water pools and comes through the fabric basically in one spot, not a problem. It does a good job blocking the Sun. The fabric is 10’ X 12’ but you must add for each corner straps. Wait till you get it, then set your poles, otherwise you will end up with sagging fabric or setting you poles again. ... show more

First off, hardware does not come with the shade. I bought the brackets and hooks separately. I connected two of the brackets to my house and two to posts in planters filled with concrete. I then hung up the shade using the hooks attached to the brackets. It was difficult to measure for the right size shade and to hang it up to where there was enough tension but I finally got it done and it was worth it. Remember that the shade needs to be smaller than the space you have measured, because each corner will pull, creating that tense sail look. I had to move the planters around so that the shade didn’t sag. Now it works well to block my big west-facing window from the sun. ... show more
