    • Worth every penny!
For anyone trying to decide on whether or not to buy this, here is my opinion. We unexpectedly went from zero to 4 cats in 2 years. Each one being a sickly stray kitten we saved and decided not to re-home. This is home. Now, all grown up, I had 3 LARGE litter boxes that were impossible to keep clean. (I could be scooping and the cats would hop right in and do their business on the other side.) These boxes are thin plastic, so use common sense when handling them. They have a much smaller area for the cats to use, but for as easy as they are to clean, no prob Bob. I sprayed some non stick cooking oil on the bottom, poured the litter, and presto. Morning and night we just roll em up on their tops, shake a little, and back. Empty the tray and done! I'm about to buy 2 more for other areas of the house, no one would even guess it's a litter box from the looks of it, kinda nice. Basically, don't abuse it, it's not meant to be spun like a bowling ball, and they seem to work quite well. Definitely, hands down easier to keep clean. ... show more

    • A single flaw that causes most of the issues people report.
The design is great. The instructions are great. The packaging is great. The manufacturing is poor. Like so many products anymore, this is a great design that is ham-stringed by being manufactured as inexpensively as possible. As it is, the three main components, the base, lid, and grate, are so flimsy that there is no wonder why people complain about the grate popping out of its place in the base, or the top cracking, or as I find, the latches rarely line up and easily snap in place because everything is flexing as you try to do it. If the three parts, base, lid, and grate, were maybe 50% thicker, there would be enough rigidity for everything to stay firmly in place, and people would not have most of the issues they do. The grate not staying put is an easy fix if you know how to use pop-rivets. Two through the bottom to hold the bottom of the grate in place. Seal them with a dab of silicone if you like. I have this issue with so many products. Great designs, cheaply made and much less functional or durable as they could be. ... show more

My cat is nine years old, and this will be the second one of these products that I've bought. They are so easy to use! I needed to get a new one because the previous one lasted for the first eight and a half years.     • Not as easy to clean as I thought
2-11-2021 update: After 2 weeks of use, we've decided to remove the internal screen and the waste drawer and use it as a regular litter box with lid. The internal space is just too small for our adult 9 lb cat to do her business. We had more hassle cleaning the box because litter constantly is stuck on the plastic, and many times her stool ended up either on the step piece at the opening or outside of the box. The space simply is not big enough for the cat to move around inside the box. When she does her #1, her body is completely inside the box, which means her rear end is up against the back wall. So the pee just gets onto the plastic and when she scoops to cover up, all the litter end up on the plastic. Now with more space, hopefully we will not get any more poop surprises outside the box or stuck litter on the walls. If you are looking for a litter box and are reading this review, save yourself some money and get the regular litter box with lid. It is easier to rake out the waste than turning this fancy litter box upside down and back. If you must buy this one, make sure you get the largest model they offer. Original review: We've been using this litter box for almost 2 weeks now. One thing we noticed is that it is not as easy to clean as we first thought. The idea of rolling over to catch the wastes and roll back sounds easy, but wastes don't always get caught in the drawer. The end of drawer is tapered, so if waste is against the back wall when you roll, it just get stuck in the little cavity between the drawer and screen piece. What we ended up doing is tilting the box toward opening before rolling so the wastes will get into the drawer. Second thing we noticed is that litter particles always get stuck in the drawer. I am not sure if this is because of the litter we're using or what, but we end up having to clean the drawer every time emptying the box. We are planning to try a different brand of litter and see if it improves. The last thing is the size of the box. We got the regular size. It looks pretty big, but 1/3 of the space is taken up by the litter bar screen. If you have a big cat, you might want to opt up for the big box instead. Before this box, we were using the basic tray with a lid. That turned out to be easier than this rolling box IMO. ... show more
