  • Great looking a/t tire, nice open tread.
Size: 265/70R16
Nice, stiff, strong, great tread, smooth/fairly quiet ride on the highway, & nice price to boot! Look & ride great too. Only delivered three the first day but delivery way ahead of schedule & last one came in a few days later. Great a/t tires for small trucks. Never heard of Armstrong before but instantly a fan of these Tru-Trac’s. 60K warranty, we’ll see how they last but initial impressions are 5 star! ... show more

  • Excellent Value
Size: 275/60R20
I bought these to replace the original equipment tires on my 2023 F150. They were all season tires far more suited for a car than a truck. I bought the Armstrong Tru-Trac AT tires because, with only 11,000 miles on the OE tires, they were down to about 50% tread left and I wanted something a bit more aggressive for the PA winters and looked more appropriate for a full size truck. (To be honest, the original, highway-type tires just looked out of place on my 4x4 truck) The Armstrongs definitely have a firmer ride than my previous OE tires, but that is to be expected with a more aggressive, heavier duty tire. Road noise is also a bit more noticeable, but not intrusive at all. The traction in snow and wet is definitely much better than the OE tires. Traction control used to engage in basic wet weather conditions when gradually starting out from a stop. This is not the case with the Armstrongs. When considering the price and the overall quality of the tire, I think they are an excellent value and a very good tire. They were about 1/2 the cost of bigger name company tires, so even if they last a shorter period of time, I'm still ahead with all of the money saved. ... show more

  • Excellent tire all around, winter performance left to be tested.
Size: 235/65R17
Great quality overall with decent ride. Seems like they will last a good while, especially for the price. Bought these to replace some BFG’s that were terrible since day one in snow, and worse on ice. As a person that has installed and sold many tires, I would stand behind these. Rubber compound is nice, stiffer than most “All Terrains” but have enough give to do some major biting if needed. I can’t attest to winter performance as of yet (will update with a note at bottom when that time comes). Rainy conditions at above highway speed give plenty of assurance (90+ MPH in downpour). Thickness of sidewall is decent (about on par with other XL tires), and thickness of tread seems great overall (size of blocks, depth, and sipes are all on par), but could be a few 32nds deeper for an AT. Balancing was pretty minimal, the premarked sidewall was pretty accurate, where others can be significantly off (installed on aluminum alloys). As for noise, considering the tread, they are pretty decent. Above 65 MPH could hear a slight high pitch, but went away after about 200 miles of use, and could only hear with the windows down, up it wasn’t noticeable at all. Driving and maneuvering feel overall is pretty confident and solid. Little to no treadwalk at highway speeds (pretty minimal with little treadwalk over 85 MPH), and cornering at lower speeds pretty solid. Offraod performance is really good overall, with some thick mud giving little to almost no problems. The smaller tread gaps get clogged pretty quick, but this isn’t also a mud tire, so overall pretty good. Overall I would feel safe and confident installing this tire on any vehicle, so much so I tested on my own. • Much better than expected!!!!
Size: 275/55R20
I’m always skeptical about buying tires and I don’t like giving reviews on them immediately. So now that I’ve put a few thousand miles, I think it’s about time for a quick update. When I mounted these tires, they balanced out wonderfully with very little weight. They have a mild aggressive look on my GMC Sierra, which I like. I immediately noticed that they were very quiet going down the road, which surprised me a little bit due to the design on the tread. I even carried a water tank in my truck, hanging off the bed, which weighed nearly 2,000 pounds. The tires did very well with the load, but it was a short distance, even though I didn’t notice much swaying. I’ve only been able to go through light mud, but the tires did great. They grip very well, they handle well, don’t squeal around corners and ride pretty well. I can’t say anything bad at all about these. I’m excited to see how they do in the snow this coming winter. Also, tread wear over 4k+ miles appears to be nonexistent so I’m hopeful for a decent tread life. Based on that, if I needed new tires for my other suv, I would absolutely buy this brand again in a heartbeat. I’m extremely pleased with these. Update, nearly a year later. Tread life has been great. Also, we got a ton of snow this year. These perform very well in the snow too. All around great tire, I’ll be buying the same exact ones when these wear out. ... show more

  • Great tires for the money
Size: 235/75R15
Just had my tires switched over to these. So far so good. The tread seems great. They look great in my little truck. I paid with my new Amazon visa which gave me $175 gift card for being approved. Price was already great but $175 off was AWESOME!

  • Mechanic recommended. Good investment.
Size: 225/65R17
Great traction. Good wear Quiet on the road. Use on a Jeep XJ. Lower profile tires on larger than stock wheels is so much better on street driving. I can dive into corners with no loss of traction.
