This was exactly what I needed for the umbrella on my glass patio table however it did not work as I was hoping I could not get it into the ground without hammering it and by hammering it it was denting the side walls of of the metal making it almost impossible to put the umbrella in I was able to fix it I got it in said everything up start at the party tightened up the umbrella to the base and here comes the wind took the umbrella right out of the base because the screw didn't hold it in shattered the glass on the table and cut my mother's leg sending her to the emergency room so no I do not think that this was worth the price and definitely not worth the purchase I was very disappointed because it looks very sturdy it looks like it should have and could have done the job it just didn't. ... show more

Diameter is small as most the review state ...however the price tag is ok but the quality is not so .. I suspect it will not last long in the harsh SoFlo weather. What I did to accommodate my umbrella is a wider PVC pipe over the stem of the product now my umbrella fits!

Others warned of it being too small, I thought I would take my chances since my umbrella for intended use is quite small. Stakes would be good for Dirt. Highly unlikely this would hold anything in sand. Suspect the post Diameter is small for a reason. As I said stakes arent that long, by making the Diameter small they rule out heavy-Lg/Med umbrellas which could make the product not function properly (constantly fall over). Need l more than 1 size. ... show more

The product was made with quality. In and of itself it is a good concept. Unfortunately, the width of my existing umbrella was the exact same size as this product and was not compatible. I returned and it was an easy process.
