I wanted the pink smeg brand kettle but it is just too pricey to justify so I went with this. Its super cute, and for 40$ I am impressed. Heats up fast, havent had any issues with it. Highly recommend if youre looking for that retro style for your kitchen without breaking the bank.

The media could not be loaded. I love the looks and color, that is what made me order this over other options. It heats up a full pot quickly. I love that the lid sits on tight, so that it won't fall off when you pour. I have arthritis and other issues and didn't have any problems getting lid off. I don't mind that the lid is plastic. It is the same type of lid as coffee carafe's use. I fill the pot, start it up and within minutes I have hot water for tea or cocoa. It is easier than using microwave and coffee cup handles stay cool. I have had times I had some tea, then went back for more about an hour and a half and the temp had only gone down to 140. I turned it on for a couple minutes to get it to 180 so that it was at perfect sipping temperature. So although it would be nice to have a "keep warm" function, I don't think it is necessary. The only issues I have with it is that the handle seems a bit flimsy for the pot. When I pick it up at full, the handle creaks a tiny bit and feels like it might give out or crack someday, but that is just what it feels like, not that it will happen. Also, the cord is very short. I have to keep it right next to the outlet and would prefer to move it to the corner of counter, but the plug won't reach. Otherwise, it is a cute, useful, electric water kettle. ... show more

I love the look of this tea kettle and that it doesn't cool down fast so I can get that "warm up" cup in! It is a little heavy when filled up to the top it made from stainless steel but the handle is sturdy yet can creak a little here and there when you pick it up You can hear it heat up. I love the temperature gage on it. So bottom line, Its's easy to use, seems easy to clean and definitely worth every penny!
