Wonderful product, I received the one without the trap door and I thought it would be an issue for odor but I am pleasantly surprised that there is no odor! My cats love it, they had 2 regular open top litter boxes and immediately started using this one without hassle. There is plenty of space for a 12lb cat. It’s a solid machine that’s super easy to put together and super easy to operate. All together, worth every penny! I would say it’s changed our lives, no more cleaning litter boxes every day, I empty the rather large bag every 4-5 days. As for the bad, the gray gets dirty so fast from litter dust but wipes clean rather easy. My first Automatic litter box. I chose this over the more popular oval shaped automatic litter box. I chose Neakasa due to my consideration of my large Maine coon cat liking the large size open top more. All 3 of my cats took to the automatic litter box right away. It is easy to use and clean. Great Cat Litter box, The open design helps the kittens get accustomed to it really quickly, one negative is it does not come with updated mat, which will cost you an extra 60 dollars. The stickers to make the included mat peel off if your kitten diggs to cover his needs. So buying the upgraded mat is kind of necessary. ... show more

This item is a very good addition to a multi cat household. It works as intended. The only caveat is that the latex tray that holds the litter in not indestructible. It has proven to be difficult to replace and ultimately resulted in the need to replace the entire unit - which we did. The convenience outweighed the frugal instinct to go back to manual catboxes. We've had this litter box for a couple of weeks now. We put it in the same place as our old one. The cats went to using it right away. After one week our 2 cats nearly filled up the litter bag. So we will probably just plan on once a week changing the bag out. It's great how they always have a fresh box to go potty in. I was so excited to get this litter box because i’ve seen nothing but good things about it and it has been a nightmare. My cats have a LR4 and a less expensive one i found on here and use both of them with no issues. First let’s talk about the size, my 12lb boy has basically no room in it so refuses to use it. My other two use it on occasion but it does nothing to mask the smell. I have had to change it often and waste bags because i can not stand the odor. The litter mat doesn’t do anything and i have even more litter around my home than before. The open look also shows so much dust that you basically have to hide it from view. The app is alright but it’s very inaccurate as far as weight and litter levels. I am beyond disappointed by this and had i known it would have been this big of a headache, would have just shelled out the additional money to get another LR4. OMG! The best $400 I ever spent. Easy to clean, very functional, and so easy to use! Don’t know how I ever did without it!! I have 4 rescue failures, whom I couldn’t do without! ❤️ Its the best!! I even bought my daughter one!

Very pleased with the product. Our two cats give it a ten claws up review. They had no hesitation in using it. We actually saw them intently watching it as it went through the cleaning and leveling process.
