Wow this actually took care of the smell much better than I thought. On the first day I had a big pile of smelly things in my Neokasa M1. I would like to say it was to test it but that was just me being lazy. I put the fan on hard and lo and behold! I could tell a difference in the air in my nostril within a minute. I tried to control the smell before with an air purifier but charcoal fan is a whole different level for smell control. Two hours later the smell was mangeable for me and my friend who came to visit that evening could not notice the fainter smell in the room. The low fan is decently quiet and keeps the smell manageable. My kittens were a little intimidated in the beginning but within minutes they got used to it. Just put them on it or in the litter on low air and they will figure out it’s safe! The air-step smell is not completely gone but that makes my kittens and my nose happy. It’s the right size, easy to put together. Even easier than the older Neokasa step model. They combine white and grey color on this item which works. Still a neutral color but I did love that grey color of the previous model for even less contrast. The step is not diagonal like the previous model but I think my kittens prefer it that way. Probably gives them more control over jumping and stepping out in their own rhythm. Overall, it’s excellent for us!

Love it! Controlled the Oder with the second setting and onward. My cat avoided it at first but if you have any level of competence when it comes to training your cat you can get them to walk on it if they don’t immediately. When I received this product, it looked just like the listing. It was slightly larger than I expected, but the design is clean, and it is a nice-looking product. The overall build feels sturdy and well-made. It stays in place and doesn’t feel flimsy. Setup was straightforward, and while the English instructions were printed small, the images made everything easy to follow. Cleaning the tray and general maintenance have been simple. I used this in front of a Litter-Robot, and in my setup, the shape and design didn’t work well together. My cat avoided stepping on it and instead tried to jump over or go around it. Because of that, the litter collection tray didn’t make a noticeable difference in tracking. I did see some litter collected in the tray, but there was still more on the surrounding floor. I did not notice any difference in pet hair control or find significant hair in the collection tray. The air purifier function made more of a difference. There are three modes: the lowest is very quiet, the middle is slightly audible but manageable, and the highest setting is the most noticeable. I found odor control improved most on the highest setting. The instructions recommend using the highest mode for about one minute for stronger odor control, but there is no timer or auto-on feature. Each time, I had to manually turn it on, cycle through the modes, and turn it off, since it defaults back to the lowest setting. Overall, I feel neutral about this product. The air purifier works to some extent, but the step and litter collection features depend on your cat’s behavior and the type of litter box you’re using. Pros: Sturdy and well-built Easy to set up and maintain Odor control improves on higher setting Cons: The step feature may not be used by all cats No noticeable pet hair control Compatibility may vary depending on litter box design No timer or auto-on feature; requires manual operation each time, or leave it on all the time.
