I bought two of these. I got three years out of my other two Nautica umbrellas and that is why I decided to purchase Nautica. I live on the beach and use these frequently. The new umbrella base has a T handle (like the old ones) for twisting into the sand. That handle broke on the very first use. The bag for that umbrella broke on the first use also. I am currently using the second one without incident, but have to treat it like glass. The stitching on the new bags and the T handles on these are not as sturdy or durable as on the previous models. The umbrella itself does not seem as durable either. I will not purchase another Nautica umbrella online and will likely move to another brand as soon as the second one breaks.

The large screw type pole easily bores into the ground, whether it be the beach or the park. Very light weight but sturdy enough to withstand moderate wind.

Sturdy--tilt performance--beautiful multi-color! Very impressed with this Nautica Beach Umbrella. The carry bag is very light but the umbrella and bottom pole slide in with little effort. We set this up in our backyard because it is not quite beach weather yet. Screwed the twist anchor system into soft dirt. It went in smoothly. We added the umbrella and it secured in the base piece perfectly. Opened the umbrella and tilted it and no movement on the base piece. The umbrella was in about 12-15 mph wind all afternoon and it never budged. Nautica multi-colored umbrella has lots of room to relax underneath and stays cool with the vented canopy. Looking forward to our grand kids playing in the shade of the umbrella both at home & at the beach!
