I bought this for an upcoming road trip in our Hyundai Ioniq 5. We've taken multiple long distance (3000 + miles) trips before using the free Electrify America charging service which Hyundai provided for the first two years. But I wanted a back-up if needed, and when Hyundai failed to deliver their promised free NACS adapter, I chose this one. I tried it out today for the first time to make sure it would work on the trip. Everything went without a hitch. I prepared myself in advance by downloading the Tesla app onto my iPhone, and filled out my demographic information, credit card data, and made sure my car info was on the app as well. I viewed several You Tube videos to learn the charging procedure. I discovered the difference among the various NACS charging systems, and learned that Teslas V4 stations offered the most friction-free option. Not all Tesla branded spots allow access to non-Tesla EVs with adaptors; the app provides that information. The V3 stations have short cables, and require non-Tesla vehicles with charging ports any where other than in the right rear to occupy two spaces (unless there's an option to hook up at the end of the line), which might be poor etiquette at a crowded station. The V4s have longer cables. So I went to the closest one, backed in, and plugged in the adaptor. From there, everything went just like it does at any CCS outlet. The charging pump and the car shook hands in about the same time as the EA stations - charging started within 30 seconds. The main point I'd make here is that this adaptor worked without a hitch. I've only used it the one time, and the charging rate was about 80; it might be that all the other "pumps" at this station were filled with cars taking advantage of the early morning lowered rates compared to daytime hours. Since I have a home charging station, I don't intend to use this adaptor often, but it's good to know that my options on long road trips are now much better. Once I was done, I put it back into the rugged case provided (about the size of my palm), and stored it in the frunk.

A very nice product Used it today for the first timr on my zFord Mach-e . Just works. Went frp, 74% to 90% in 15 min. Enough time to do a spot of shopping/ Well built, comes with a beautiful sturdy casee. Great value for money.

It says online that it will work with a whole bunch of different cars when you get it all it says own it is it will work with Ford and rivian it kept messing up my GM vehicle

My adapter arrived today and my battery was low so I tried out a Supercharger for the first time. It charged my car just fine, but the charge rate wasn't great -- only 96 kw. I have read in other places that Tesla may be throttling the Superchargers to 100-ish kw for non-Tesla cars (or perhaps just for Hyundai/Kia). Anyway, the adapter feels solid in my hands, engages well with the charger and the car, has safety latches to keep it plugged in until you want to unplug it, and did not get warm when charging at 96 kw. For the price, it seems like a win to me.

It’s heavy…… comes in a nice zip up hard case it also has a bag. As soon as I got it, we took it over to the Tesla station to test it out so that we didn’t run into any problems on our road trip. Had no problems recognizing it right away. Worked good well worth the money. Now we can pretty much stop just about anywhere to charge our car. So the two main things is that it works good and it was cheap so I’m very very very happy. We have a 2024 Hyundai Kona EV Update: we used it on our road trip up to Chicago. It didn’t get hot. It worked perfect didn’t have any problems with that at any of the Tesla charging stations.
