I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this machine. It is the quietest of any vacuum I have ever owned. The rollers move like butter across my hard floor surfaces to the point that I enjoy just moving it around, like a little kid. A light machine was not on my purchasing checklist, but I must attest to the fact that this machine is very light. The suction is on par to all my past great performing vacuums, which is great. The Hard floor tool is excellent, it actually picks up the debris not just push it to corners unlike reviews of other vacuum models I have read online. I am very pleased with this purchase. The one thing that I do not like is the price. If you can get past that, this is an all around excellent machine. It has plenty of power. It is quiet, it moves effortlessly, it is very light for a corded machine. The design is very artistic making it lovely to look at when stored somewhere. It is bagless. This has to be the greatest consumer vacuum on the market. Truly engineered to check all the boxes. I hope to use this for many years which is why I went bagless, because in my research the bagged version of this machine is rated even higher.

If you have a pet, this is a great vacuum. There are some that will argue that a bagless vacuum is a waste. I would disagree however and I save a ton of money by not having to buy Miele bags (which aren't cheap). This vacuum still has better suction than any other vacuum I've used. The dust collector is well designed and allows you to dump the large items in the trash without any mess. The fine particles are collected in another container that only needs to be emptied occasionally, but this means when you dump the normal collector, there isn't any fine particles being released back into the air. Our previous vacuum was also a bagless model (different manufacturer) and we had to empty it outside because of all the fine particles it released back into the air. With this vacuum I can dump it in any trash inside and not have any problems. The vacuum also has a HEPA filter which should help people with allergies. The dog and cat version of this vacuum comes with an additional air powered small rotating brush attachment. I didn't have high expectations for this attachment based on other air powered attachments I've used before, but I was shocked when I used it. This attachment is great! It's the perfect size to clean furniture - whether you have a pet or not. The suction is very good and the brush turns at a high speed and does NOT bog down when you use it (like other brands I have used). I'd recommend the attachment even if you don't have a pet. The vacuum also comes with the nicer version of the Miele powered head too for use on carpets. Overall this vacuum has been great. I was amazed at the amount of dirt it picked up from our rugs the first time we used it. It was disgusting how much crap came out of them. The build quality is very high on this vacuum and I fully expect this vacuum to last many many years. We typically get 2-3 years out of other vacuums before they breakdown or loose suction. This vacuum has a 7 year warranty on the motor (suction). So while it costs a lot more money upfront, not only do you get a much higher quality product, I expect the product to last 3-4 times longer which will actually make the purchase more economical in the long run. Update - We've had this vacuum for 4 years now and it works as good today as the day we bought it. I have ZERO complaints about the vacuum and I would recommend it to anyone. It's not cheap, but it is a high quality device that is going to work well and last a long time. It's honestly well worth the price!

This appliance has been the bane of my existence since the day I bought it. The first one showed up broken on multiple parts, sending me on the return/replace journey. The second one has been to the repair shop twice now in 1.5 years: first for the poorly engineered foot release latch that barely works to begin with breaking (because they had to make this part out of plastic on a nearly $1000 vacuum??) and now because it's shutting off after a few minutes of running, even with the filters cleaned and suction feeling normal. Meanwhile, small pieces of plastic occasionally flake off the arm assembly which the repair guy brushed off as "common occurrence". Meanwhile, this thing is an ergonomic nightmare. I was apprehensive when i bought it, having been used to the upright style vacuums for so long. I should have trusted my instincts over the weird vacuum evangelicals online. I routinely almost trip over the thing while vacuuming. If they had made the hose a couple feet longer, this wouldn't be an issue, but as designed this thing has to be right up against your feet during use. The power cord was also shorter than my previous vacuum. Exacerbated by the need to constantly drag the thing along behind you because of how little slack they engineered into it, it likes to roll over on it's belly way too easily when you tug it along. The roller brush that comes with this also seems poorly engineered. the pedal that disengages the upright position doesn't work consistently, and the pedal that adjusts the pile-height will regularly land in "half-way-between" settings when used. Suction performance has been fine, but not remarkably different from a vacuum 1/3 the price. It's over-priced, under-engineered, cumbersome, and the warranty support process is weirdly nebulous on the Miele website. I have nothing good to say about this product.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog PowerLine was our “house Christmas present” for this year, and it is unequivocally the best vacuum cleaner we’ve ever used. You will be absolutely astonished with the amount of animal hair, dirt, dust, etc. you’ll collect the first time you use the Blizzard CX1 on rugs, etc. you think your old vacuum cleaner was doing a good job on. Intuitive to use, not too large or heavy given its power, relatively quiet, and has a decent cord length. Bagless design is easy to clean and saves money in the long run. Our only minor complaint is that the bristles on the included SSP10 dusting brush are short and a bit stiff, so we’re hesitant to use it on expensive polished wood furniture. Putting that issue aside, you won’t regret this investment for your house.

It’s heavier than I thought but it is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I don’t need to do 4-6 passes to pick up all the dog hair (had to do that with Dyson). I can get my vacuuming done in less than half the time, it’s super quiet so I can do it late at night or even when my baby is sleeping, and last in glad I got the bag free option bc the other reviews stated that the bag option was better but we really do have a lot of dog hair (3 dogs) that would fill a bag in an instant and the hepa filter works great on this. I do find it annoying that the attachments are not easily accessed and I wish the cord could be a little longer but those are minor because I just love this vacuum.

What I like: - It's quiet. Don't let it fool you. Some manufacturers will make vacuums louder because it "feels" like they are more powerful. I thought the same thing initially but ran it side by side to my old Bissell and it actually performs a lot better - Bag-less is amazing. And this particular setup works great for my two big hairy beast roommates who leave lots of fluff behind - Power head attachments. Both of these are exceptional. The large one for removing hair from carpets, the handheld for doing couches, pillows etc. What I don't like: - The retractable cord sucks. It's too short. Like WAY too short. Also, any time saved auto-reeling itself back in saved is offset by time spent manually pulling it out every time, since the tension is too much for it to extend itself and not pull out of the wall. Would definitely trade it for an old school manual wind with some additional length - Removing and replacing the dust bin feels like there is a lot of friction between the plastic, even when being careful. I worry something important is going to break off at some point rendering my very expensive vacuum requiring some expensive hard to find part - The large power head and handle barely stand up on their own, especially under the weight of the hose, so it is constantly clonking over when not attended (like when moving the power to another outlet because the cord is so damn short) Grievances aside, would buy again! Those powerheads alone make it worth while for pet people.

HOLY COW. This vacuum is something else. Definitely on another level and not just because of the price tag. This vacuum replaces all the vacuums we have had. We had a small canister, one for the Non-carpet floors and rugs and we also had an upright for the carpet. We recently got our carpets replaced, and the new carpet is thick and medium to height pile, and our old vacuum couldn’t perform on the carpet. The spinning brush roll would get stuck even at the highest pile setting. We then got a Bissell vacuum, and it was hard to move it across the carpet because of the density and height of our new carpeting. It was going to be either this vacuum or a Dyson handheld. I am very happy that I did not choose a Dyson. The Miele is super quiet, even on full power, the motor brushhead that comes with this model separately costs $240 and you immediately see why. It’s substantial and heavy but it glides on the carpet like it’s weightless. It has five height settings and you can turn the brush roll on and off via button and the vacuum itself has 4 different suction settings. So you have a lot of customization at your fingertips to handle all of your cleaning needs. The blizzard CX1 cat and dog comes with the motorized brush head as well as the brush head for smooth flooring and several other attachments. I believe it is six attachments total. The telescopic wand is made of metal and very sturdy. Everything about this vacuum is fantastic from what I can tell. Well-made and works as it should. This one is so much quieter than the bagged version as well. Incredible quiet . Probably the quietest full-size or full capacity vacuum I’ve ever come across. I made sure to purchase the vacuum directly from Amazon and not a third-party seller and I highly recommend you do the same. I did contact Miele and asked if the vacuum sold on Amazon are authentic and they said I should make sure that it’s sold and shipped by Amazon And that in that case they are guaranteed authentic. The blizzard CX1 cat and dog comes with a 3 year warranty by Miele. The warranty Varies by model . I know this vacuum is very expensive, but if you’re like me and you have several vacuums for different sections of your home, this vacuum will free up space and you’ll have one vacuum for everything. I’ve been wanting a Miele vacuum for a Very long time and I’m glad I waited for the bag less version.

A terrific vacuum cleaner. I purchased mine on Amazon Day to avail myself of a discount, but knowing what I know now, I would consider it a bargain even if I’d paid the full price. It’s wonderfully well-built machine, with useful accessories and impressive suction. Every time I use it, I appreciate it more. I’d been a Kenmore customer since before Sears went out of business, and continued purchasing that brand, but the latest iteration of the model I’d been buying just wasn’t that good. My wife insisted we take a costly detour into world of Dyson, and we still have an enormous box of useless plastic accessories to prove it. My parents have had a Miele for the past 20 years, and I should have taken a page from their book earlier. This is as close as I have come to the ultimate vacuum, and I recommend it without reservation.
