Better than litter robot, and much more affordable! There are also cheaper generic disposable products you can use with it-I’ve had no issues with the generics. I love how it comes apart so I can clean the dirty part of the litter box without worrying about messing up the electronics. I have a big kitty, about 20 lbs and he fits great in it! The odor control also works, especially if you use the gel pods that fit in the outer side of the waste bin. I empty the bin weekly and there is no stink. My cat takes pretty stinky dumps. This is actually my second purchase of this litterbox We have 2 in our house. Our cat is very rowdy at night. We had to start keeping him in a separate area of our house to be able to sleep after years of tolerating it. The first one I have had for about 2 years and this one for about 6 months. Very durable! Oh and if you download the app, it tracks your cats’ weight to help monitor their health! It’s a win!

I highly recommend buying it; the size is perfect, installation is simple, and my cat has been using it without any issues. The sensor triggers when she enters and cancels the automatic cleaning cycle. It offers great value for money. It keeps my living room clean, tidy, and odor-free.

I had this litter box for only two months before I started having significant urine smells and figured out that it was leaking urine through one of the seams. I contacted customer support, and this was the response: Please check if it is the following issues: 1. The amount of cat litter used is too little. 2. The solidification effect of cat litter on liquid is poor. 3. The cat goes to the toilet on the edge of the cat litter. Here are the solutions: 1. The amount of cat litter added should be parallel to the Max line. 2. Recommend to reset the automatic cleaning time to 15 minutes after cat leaves. 3. Train your cat to urinate in a litter-covered area. The third one really made me laugh. I’m not sure this person has ever had a cat. So buyer beware. If your cat goes pee perfectly in the middle of their litter box, then this might be the automatic litter box for you. As it is, the litter area is very small and shallow and you need the absolute perfect amount of litter at every moment. If you have a cat that high pees or pees anywhere near the side, then you’re going to have problems with this litter box.

We love this litterbox. We bought one 2 years ago, and it worked solidly for us until recently. The lid to the litter stopped being able to close so we had to tape it shut. Litter would also get stuck to the bottom of the base so I'd have to scrape it off each time to make sure the litter would get cleaned. And just in the last week it started registering a cat being in the box due to the litter not getting fully cleaned from the box each time. So we just bought a new one and it started working immediately. I know if we could have given the box a good deep clean here and there the box would have lasted longer. Unfortunately we live in a small apartment with a balcony, we just don't have the space to give the box a deep clean that it needs being that it's so large. But even without a deep clean, the box lasted well for us for 2 years and I consider that a win. Highly recommended!

I won't be like other customers blaming the unit for things that are clearly user error. I almost didn't buy this because of those reviews. The Good: It works. Because of this useful unit, I was made aware that my cat was not only losing weight, but that she was using the unit more than any of my other cats! So we have a vet appt. to see what that's about. For context, I have three gals that don't really get along. So I bought this litter box and a less expensive one, also on Amazon that's working well. This unit was very easy to assemble. It's very sturdy. The size for my three gals is just right, and they adapted to using it very quickly. My cats like it. The not so good: You can smell the urine. I don't think this is Meowant's issue however. My cats have a high moisture content in their urine. So the litter I have clumps but the clumps are very wet. Any clumps that are dumped in the reservoir are going to smell. It's not like it's air sealed. I set the unit to clean 10 minutes after my cats go because at first the wet clumps were getting stuck on the sides and in the grates and the smell! So it's better but I'm finding myself disposing of waste every other day because of the smell. Again, not Meowant's fault my cats pee like sailors and it stays moist. So I'm currently experimenting with a different litter that is low dust, has higher neutralizing properties and clumps quickly. I am convinced that if I can get the right litter this will be a slam dunk. I love that I get an alert when my cats are using it and it tells me if they are taking longer than usual or if their weight has fluctuated. I can activate the cleaning mode from my phone when I want. I still enjoy not having to scoop litter nightly from two litter boxes though. At 62, honey ain't nobody got time for that. I'll update my review if I get the litter situation sorted out.

I've had this for about 2 months now and waited to write the review. I have 4 cats and they all use it. The bottom where the litter goes is not very deep, and 2 of my cats don't care to much for that. At times, some of the "waste" gets stuck. Pardon the pictures. Sometimes, you have to push the button to get it to rotate. Having said all this, I paid $229 for it so for what I paid I am not complaining. I love the waste container and the smell is gone. I have 2 other litter boxes in the house, 1 is the old electric litter maid box that I LOVE. It is on it's last legs so I will replace it soon. This one is good for 1 or 2 cats at most. It is not large. I love the ease of the receptacle. I have not hooked up the app or the wifi as it's not important to me. The unit is all plastic and was easy to set up. The matt that comes with it is excellent. The litter capacity is not great.

I have an older model so when my elderly mother decided to adopt a kitten, I sent this to her. I already knew about the safety features and quality of the brand. My sis set it up for her. Easy set up and the tiny kitten took to it right away. My sister agrees it is so much better than scooping and it’s easy to maintain. I don’t use the app anymore but I have three cats and I was getting notifications all day each time a cat used it so I just shut it off. it’s a great product and I will never be without one again.
