We used this as a back awning on our food truck. It is very sturdy with large mount bolts and rigid mount brackets. Once we got used to turning the movement handle the right way it is easy to extend and retract awning. Our old awning would blow in the wind and had to be retracted at winds exceeding 5mph+. This one is all metal thick scissor arms that hold steady in a strong breeze. It extends 8 feet so provides ample shade. Amazon let me return the first one because the color and size was incorrect partly my fault, I appreciated that. Good product.

I had to roll and unroll the fabric 4 times and disassemble and reassemble the roller brackets 2-3 times. It was hard to figure out how to align the components based on the instructions, but once I figured it out, it was easy to complete assembly and install. I was even able to re-use my used mounting brackets. Attached are pictures that show how the front piece should be oriented. The convex side needs to face out and the concave side have back towards the torsion bars.

I am still putting it together. The instructions are rather cryptic. The company definitely could use a better English interpreter and clearer written instructions besides the diagrams. The stiff plastic "threads" to feed into the fabric are difficult with just one person. The small plastic covers that attach at the ends of the metal frames with the threads are useless and too difficult to put in. The aluminum frames were scratched in some places out of the box. However, you get what you pay for. Overall, it's not a terrible purchase so far. I'll see how it holds up once I get it mounted to the house.
