First the whole concept looked good and very different, that's what I liked about it. The assembly was very difficult and definitely takes two people. The instructions are a joke and are useless. Pictures. I assembled the awning and it looked good. I purchased 4 of these units for the entry on the back of my house. The first thing I noticed was the arch that you mount to the wall or soffit had to have a mountable space of at least 11" to be able to secure these arches. That's fine if you have a flat wall. I had to modify my soffit to be able to mount these arches. To make a long story short. It took me seven days to finish and it looked good. Now for the weather. It rained and it was leaking all over the place almost every seam. NOT HAPPY. the bugs started to crawl into every one of the clear plastic panels and died. As you look up at the awning there is all these dead discolored bugs that you cant get out. These clear tubes that run throughout the awning also fill up with rain water which also discolors. Needless to say come springtime this junk is coming back down and into the dumpster. I am a retired carpenter and have been doing this type of work my whole life. NOT HAPPY !!! ... show more

I like the look of it. Good product for its price. Worth it. Needed this so rain will not fall directly on the window and door and into the house. FYI....for easy installing (especially installing alone) connect and screw 3 pieces together (2 brackets and the aluminum that goes in the back) then screw both on the wall, then slide in the polycarbonate panel and screw in the aluminum part of the awning that goes on the front. once you install a whole section, you can connect and screw the next one and do the same process of just sliding in the polycarbonate panel. ... show more

This was relatively easy to put together, which is a good thing because there were NO instructions provided. Just one piece a paper with 2 pictures that show how to align the panels, nothing about mounting it to the house, where to put the screws etc etc. Also not a 1 person job getting it up. You need 2 people to mount it to the house. I had to look up online how to use the hardware to mount it. The panels also damage VERY easily. One fell over while I was putting it together and it got a dent in it that there is no way to fix. ... show more

Great product. Looks way more expensive then it is. Sturdy, you will need 2 people to assemble and install. I installed 2 sections first then installed the last section while it was up. I also tided a rope around top part to keep it together untitled I mounted it to my wall. Note I used some painters tape on the tip of a Philips head screwdriver to keep the S.S. screws in place. ... show more

    • A major PAIN to install!

This was a MAJOR pain in the A__ to install!!! Don’t think you’re going to be smart & put it together and then install it either! Geez!!! You would think that it would be WAY easier than it is.... but after all is said, it’s UP and we’ll see how durable it is! It’s extremely lightweight & the pieces come apart while assembling, so be prepared... also not enough screws came with it & some were loose in the box. We’re using it as an overhang off of our balcony for rain & shade... we rarely get snow here in Louisiana. I’m not too sure why it says it cannot be installed on a manufactured home either? Maybe the screws to hold it up are too long?? ... show more

First, the company is very responsive and has excellent customer service. Thank you! I purchased this to cover my front door and part of the wood pile. Well, I only got 2 of the 3 panels up before a massive storm because they are not easy to assemble. They aren't impossible, but not the easiest. We got over 30 inches of snow in 48 hours, and I was WORRIED. The mid-joint flexed, but it stayed up. I went out when I could to pull down snow from the front half, which I hope helped, but even now, a week later when everything is melting, it held up. One hint for assembly. Use moderately tacky duct tape to cover the seam connecting the back and front Plexi to make it easier to snap them into the arms. ... show more
