I installed it a little different than "instructions" First there's no real mention of distance brackets need to be mounted correctly. It shows 1" well that's from top of awning not bracket to facia. Bracket needs to be like 5" down and 114" OC side to side, for 10 foot awning. I put main frame together then mounted it on brackets I put on wall since I was working by myself. Then I put roller tube together and mounted fabric to it with smaller spline. Bigger splines are for front rail which I put on next, Then I rolled it and mounted it to main frame. You need to loosen one of the roller mounts to do it. Then I put in tension arm brackets. I don't know what plastic pieces do but I but them in. With it rolled up I pushed tension bars all the way in the tightened outer screw, you need to roll out awning to tighten inn Phillips screw. There is no real mention of that but if its not in the right place it wont fully retract. Some notes are arms never fully extend otherwise it would not be able to retract. Also they use locknuts but bolts are too short to go into lock part of nut so they aren't working as intended. Overall It is pretty good but is a bit of a learning curve for first install. ... show more

I d give 0 if could. cheaply made..hardest part putting together was sliding the round liner in material. Ibought as replacement for one I had over 10 years. thos one be lucky if lasts season..Big difance between this and one I replaced..directions sucked. was able figure most it out . But were tape is with warnings to remove till end . The paper was covering holes needed to put bolts threw took me while to find them because of the warning . I didn t want to remove paper . Butthere are tie wraps under paper .once figured that out I saw the holes I was looking for...I have it up and using it..Just hope get 2 seasons out of it.. I d send back if wasn t such a big Item and be tuff to repack and ship back...so making best of it.... ... show more

Apparently, these people don't believe in instructions. This product comes with a 4-page rigidity instruction booklet. I just finished rebuilding a gazebo, so I have an idea of how to put things together. I checked videos on YouTube, but they were not much help either. Btw, the rubber tubing you use to hold the end of the awning is terrible! I had to use an electrician's fish tape to get it through the other end. Poor design! ... show more
