Color: Cacao Intense
I colored my hair for the first time in over 15 years, usually my go to is a dark auburn, I like reds for my skin tone. I tried a new color, all natural, recommended by a friend and the color was supposed to be dark red. It turned my hair a horrible copper penny color, very light and harsh. I did not want to re-dye and through research found this product, read every single review and ordered. I got the cacao intense as I needed to darken but hopefully keep the red tones. My hair is short, very fine and thin so it didn't take much product. I was nervous about how dark it would be so I diluted with some water, put on damp hair, applied with a toothbrush which worked really well and once saturated combed through. I didn't want to leave on too long, the directions said 3-7 minutes so I did approx. 4, rinsed and conditioned. The results were amazing. I wanted it a bit darker, still had a bit of copper shine so I reapplied but this time did not dilute and I kept is on longer, maybe 5-7 min. I am so amazed by how well this worked. The color came out so good, exactly as I wanted and my hair is super soft. I used Carols Daughter Goddess strength fortifying conditioner after rinsing and my hair looks and feels amazing. I saw many comments in the reviews that said it stained the tub or sink and to be sure to wear gloves but using the toothbrush and comb I didn't need gloves and if any color got in the sink while applying I rinsed right then and no problems at all. The tub is fine as well. I would say do first application on the cautious side, diluted and for a short period and see how it looks as you can reapply if it's not there yet. So happy I found this. In regards to some saying it's expensive, it's really not. The tub will last for many applications especially if you have shorter fine hair like mine. So totally worth it and it saved the day.

I had been dying my hair blonde for years, and then decided to go back brown. I struggled with salon results lasting and didn’t want to mess with box dyes. Then I discovered this product! Works very well for me. I like both cacao and cacao intense. It lasts 2 weeks after one application, and then after using it a few times the results last more like 4 weeks after a single application. I’d recommend the pump bottle, as the jar can dye your hands and nails when applying. I only leave it in 3-5 minutes in the shower. It makes my hair so shiny and glossy after, and covers my blonde ends so that I have an all over rich brown color!

I bleached my hair a few years ago, and I'd been looking for something affordable & close to my natural hair color to help blend the obvious bleach lines as I grew it out. Not only did this match almost exactly and blend my hair so seamlessly, I've never gotten more compliments on my hair color in my life. I used the intense cacao color, and it's a cool tone brown that fades in a way that looks almost light purple which I love, because it keeps any blonde that peaks through from looking yellow or brassy. I've been using it about once a week since the beginning of February, and I've only gone through maybe half the bottle- such a good price for the amount of product you get out of it. 10/10 would recommend.

Usually for color conditioners you won’t get a noticeable difference unless you either apply it 4 or 5 times, or soak your head in it and let it sit for an hour. I have a natural peach undertone to my hair so I like to use color conditioner to add a little oomph. Unfortunately I should have done a strand test first because this color is extremely bright and more of a light orange peach than a pink toned peach. Needless to say my level 10 highlights turned the color of a pumpkin. The rest of my hair not dyed and a level 8 and that turned out very pretty. I washed it out a few times with clarifying shampoo then it was pretty close to the correct color. This is not a bad product. But follow the directions! It’s a lot more pigmented than anything else I’ve tried. And be extra careful if you have any bleached hair. It will suck it up like a sponge!

This shade does not pull green or blue. It’s got a lovely rose gold undertone to it. I am so happy I found this!!! I was able to effortlessly tone my bleached level 10 roots with literally zero damage. Application was so easy! You can achieve a lighter shade by mixing a few drops with water and rub the solution all over your hair, or a more saturated shade by rubbing undiluted product into your hair. There is no risk of over processing and the mask leaves the hair hydrated.

So I’ve been using this product for about two weeks now on and off to touch up my hair. I have noticed a difference for sure after using it but would say it’s not exactly the shade I was hoping for. If you need a neutral color brown this shade isn’t it. I had pink hair before this but my roots are very much a deep blonde naturally so I was trying to match it. I do think this product helps achieve a new look pretty easily but I don’t know if I would get this shade again. I think it’s pretty expensive for the size you get. I think you go through it pretty fast too depending how frequently you have to use it. The instructions say to use on clean hair so if you are looking for something to use in the shower I wouldn’t really suggest it as you have to wear gloves and get out of the shower to be sure you have it all saturated and it’s just not very convenient. I am in the process of trying it on dry hair to see how that works. Will update if I’m able

It works too well compared to other products I have used. It lasts for several days without washing out even when I combine it with regular conditioner and I don’t need to use a lot of product to make it work.

It totally toned down the horrible yellow I had in my hair after coloring. I didn't want to damage more by recoloring and this filled that gap. It smells really good too and left my hair very soft.
