  • BEAUTIFUL!
So bright! I had been using SE BHF (light primary blue) and it just wasn't sticking in my hair at all. Fed up with it, I decided to try MP Voodoo Blue. I had my eye on it for some time but was worried the green tones would overshadow the blue. My ends are completely bleached (ombre-style) but my roots and lengths are just slightly lightened with a less potent blonde metallic box dye I bought at the local drug store. I didn't want to mess up the integrity of the new growth but I needed to lighten a little so the dye would stick. I put this stuff in the other night, following instructions verbatim so I didn't mess anything up. Got out of the shower, looked in the mirror and was blown away. The dye stuck very very well to my hair and it was BRILLIANT bright and beautiful. Every length of my hair (which is kind of long) was brilliant blue/green (mostly blue). For those of you who have considered this color but haven't yet decided, here are a few things you need to know: *If you bleach your hair first, it will look amazing; exactly as it does on the hair model on Manic Panic's official site. If you don't bleach your hair, the color is still strong enough to stick to your hair and give some great highlights in the sun, however, on dark blonde/brown hair it will appear more green than the blue it was intended to be. *It's strong! In other words, it's a tub-stainer. Have some bleach cleaner ready when you're done. *It's a head-turner lol. So be prepared to get looks and stares, which in my personal experience, have been mostly positive. ******Conclusion: I approve... and recommend! Kind of wish I could post a picture or something. ... show more

  • The exact color i was looking to achieve!
I LOVE this color so much! It’s stunning and I’ve gotten tons of compliments! Manic Panic dye always smells great and is always super saturated! I bleached my hair for the underneath (peak-a-boo style) as well as added some extra dye to the brown parts of my hair and it turned out GORGEOUS. I’m so in love with my hair and it’s super healthy and soft even after bleaching it! I would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for this type of color! ... show more

  • Great, but lasts awhile Great, but lasts awhile
The color was accurate and it was easy to apply. However, it's really hard to get out. I washed my hair normally with my standard shampoo for months, and the color was still there. First picture was on October 28th, second one was on December 19th. I'm not complaining, just make sure you like the color beforehand! ... show more

  • A bit more green than blue A bit more green than blue
Manic Panic Voodoo Blue is more so Aquamarine blue nearing green blue. I bleached my hair and applied toner also I used on bleached hair which was not toned. Both produced green blue. FYI. It was a pretty color just not the color I was looking for. Also this product requires lots of rinse and wash time. Other than that it did what it was expected to do. ... show more

  • IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!
This stuff is AWESOME!!!! I wanted to stop highlighting my hair so I thought I would just color it back to my natural color. (Not Blue...silly) So for the 1st time ever, I went for a drugstore dye kit. I know, I know, I've heard all the HORROR stories too. After blow drying my hair, I literally went into a Panic. My husband came into the bathroom to check out all the...Oh No's & Dear God's..., the LOOK on his face was all I needed, It turned out a dark orange, brassy, clown color. So what do I do...It's Friday 9:30pm, Monday is Memorial Day, (The Family Picnic) everything (MY Hair salon) is closed until Tue.... I am Bozo until Tuesday. Without a word this darling young Lady taught me how to fix my own hair with "Manic Panic" yes with "Voodoo-Blue" Manic Panic, aaaand I learned how to make my own very cool disposable coloring cape; except mine will be a Hefty construction size bag. One treatment & my hair looks just like it did when I was 15. I am 61. Thank You Amazon for the 1 Day shipping & Thank You Ms. Stepss for your priceless knowledge. ... show more

  • Beautiful Color, but Beware...it is hard to get out! Beautiful Color, but Beware...it is hard to get out!
Holy crap this stuff is a pain to remove! The color was beautiful (although not what I initially wanted) because it turned mermaid green instead of blue on my darker brown hair. Tons of color washed out in shower over weeks. But now, my hair is like STAINED. This stuff will NOT come out completely and 8-9 weeks later I still have green tinted hair. 4.5 hours in a salon chair and $125 dollars later, it still isn’t gone. This stuff sticks too well! It was pretty messy to apply with lots of scalp staining, maybe that was just my inexperience with hair coloring. Bleeding onto pillow occurred for about a week or so after application. Beautiful color, but yikes, I’m not sure if I’ll ever try Manic Panic again because this stuff is supposed to be semi permanent but it just isn’t. ... show more

  • MAKE IT COUNT! MAKE IT COUNT!
Ok friends. Want your hair to be THE BEST EVER? This is how you do it, take it from a 20 year dye-hard veteran (they featured me on their website a few times, too! Fun!) The first thing you have to do is break your habit of washing. It’s a painful two weeks with a lot of dry shampoo and patience. The worst thing you can do for your hair, whether colored or not, if use a regular shampoo every day. I literally never wash my hair. Ever. You can look up the “no p0o” movement for more info on that. After you realize that shampoo is the enemy, you need to realize how the process works. I’ve read a lot of reviews were people say you should condition your hair after lightning it however you are literally undoing all the goodness that you have just done. Lightening your hair opens up the lil follicles which makes them THIRSTY and want to pick up all that conditioning pigment. I often bleach, blow dry, and then when my hair is brutal, brittle, and sad I slather it in as much product as possible. The more you stretch out the hair dye, the more you’re just spreading around the conditioning part that no longer has the pigment which creates what they lovingly called in the salon “holidays “ Sad bland undyed hair chunks. No do. I like to bleach my hair, blow dry, slather on the dye, and then put on a bandanna and do my chores or whatever. Before I go to bed, yes with the dye still in, I will blow dry it again to make sure it doesn’t smear everywhere. I rinse with cool water when I wake up. If its feeling dry, which it never has in 20 years of this, you can use your favorite hair oil product, or leave-in conditioner. People often spike their Conditioners with any remaining hair dye, however I never wet my hair so I never do that. Remember this stuff fades hair dye: -Sun -Chlorinated and salt water -Hairspray (alcohol strips color when rinsed) -Evil terrible Shampoo -Excessive heat Sleeping in your hair dye makes it last at least three times longer. It has no damaging products, so think of it as a color-depositing hair mask. Go be bold and colorful, my lovelies! 💙Cole *Voodoo blue since it came out *Manic Panic User of all blue shades in total 21 almost 22 years now! ... show more
