I love manic panic. I wash 2x/ week in cold water and ice had this color since September (5 months) but, blues hang around. However it's still the same color. It has not faded to any strange green orotherwise. It's gradually lightened.

The media could not be loaded. I LOVE this color so much! It’s stunning and I’ve gotten tons of compliments! Manic Panic dye always smells great and is always super saturated! I bleached my hair for the underneath (peak-a-boo style) as well as added some extra dye to the brown parts of my hair and it turned out GORGEOUS. I’m so in love with my hair and it’s super healthy and soft even after bleaching it! I would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for this type of color!

Manic panic hair dye is wonderfully vibrant! It stains bleached hair or stripped colored hair very well. I applied the dye to my locs in January and it lasted the rest of the semester! Warning: it does stain other things including your bath tub and pillow cases. But it washed out pillows very easily, leaving a light stain (in some occasions). It also bleeds, so wearing a shower cap will save your cloths when getting ready in the morning. I would recommend bleaching your hair before using this product if you have natural dark brown to black hair. Because it's such a dark hair color already it will not show in your hair very well if you didn't pre-bleach your hair. I used quick blue bleaching powder and 40 developer to bleach my locs in 1 session. I didn't use any toners or purple shampoo. If you don't know which toner is appropriate for the shade of blond your bleached hair is, then I would recommend using the purple shampoo or consulting a professional stylist/YouTube (Brad Mondo is really good). The color is bold and will get you a lot of attention and I say embrace it! As it fades you will eventually get a nice turquoise color before it goes to green (kinda olive green) and then blond again. Hope you enjoy the new hair color! (P.s. I attached photos of the hair color progression from January - May) Disclosure: I have dreadlocks, and I wash my hair every 2-3 weeks. So for those who wash their hair more often this color may not last as long. I feel like someone may say something like that's gross 🙄. Listen, black hair texture doesn't retain/create a lot moisture and oils as other races. locs are a accumulation of dead hair which also can no longer retain moisture on it's own when it sheads away from the scalp completely. So washing it more often will dry out my hair and scalp.

Use a very very very small amount mixed in any kind of white creamy conditioner, if you are just trying to get the orange out of your blonde to take to an Ash.

So bright! I had been using SE BHF (light primary blue) and it just wasn't sticking in my hair at all. Fed up with it, I decided to try MP Voodoo Blue. I had my eye on it for some time but was worried the green tones would overshadow the blue. My ends are completely bleached (ombre-style) but my roots and lengths are just slightly lightened with a less potent blonde metallic box dye I bought at the local drug store. I didn't want to mess up the integrity of the new growth but I needed to lighten a little so the dye would stick. I put this stuff in the other night, following instructions verbatim so I didn't mess anything up. Got out of the shower, looked in the mirror and was blown away. The dye stuck very very well to my hair and it was BRILLIANT bright and beautiful. Every length of my hair (which is kind of long) was brilliant blue/green (mostly blue). For those of you who have considered this color but haven't yet decided, here are a few things you need to know: *If you bleach your hair first, it will look amazing; exactly as it does on the hair model on Manic Panic's official site. If you don't bleach your hair, the color is still strong enough to stick to your hair and give some great highlights in the sun, however, on dark blonde/brown hair it will appear more green than the blue it was intended to be. *It's strong! In other words, it's a tub-stainer. Have some bleach cleaner ready when you're done. *It's a head-turner lol. So be prepared to get looks and stares, which in my personal experience, have been mostly positive. ******Conclusion: I approve... and recommend! Kind of wish I could post a picture or something.
