  • this is the real deal!!! i be used them all, and this is the 1
Color: Electric Lizard Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
So i’m pretty friggin ol’ skool. i used to buy this in its original incarnation at Trash and Vaudeville in NYC. in the late 70’s early 80’s ,it was the only place you could get it back then. skip ahead to today and they still do some of the best dyes around. the only reason one might choose something different would be based on a shade preference, which you could likely mix yourself with a bit of basic colour theory. the picture is after a few weeks of root growth, but the colour is awesome. the best part though is it glows under black light. well, maybe not the best part, but a bonus for sure!!! you will need to bleach your hair to as light as possible to get the best results, and a root touch up with a little 29 vol peroxide bleach should get you to where a re-dye gives that perfect look. i’ve got 40+++ years of using this stuff, and every colour i have ever done is worth it. don’t skimp on the bleaching step unless your ok with just a “sheen”. ... show more

  • strong color :]
Color: Voodoo Blue Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
not exactly the color i thought i’d get, but i ended up really liking it anyway. it looks different with indoor/outdoor lighting, so i included pics in both. all 3 pics were before my first wash as well. it definitely stains skin, bathroom, and even your nail polish lol. so wear gloves & be careful :) about 7-9 washes later (don’t remember), color is lighter but still strong! last photo is today. ... show more

  • VERY vivid color but a tad harder to work with than High Voltage
I’ve previously used manic panic high voltage pink warrior to extend my time between professional color and really loved it. I saw this and thought I’d give it a try to see which one I preferred. Pros: -the color is VERY vivid and brighter than the high voltage pink warrior. I honestly am in LOVE with the color -The squeeze bottle makes root application easy Cons: -It’s not as thick as the high voltage and I found it harder to work with -The squeeze bottle is nice…until it isn’t. I found it unpredictable with how forcefully the dye would project from the opening. We now have several light pink stains in our bathroom from projectile dye. Granted, this could be more of a “me” issue, but it’s my my pro and con list, so there lol -I do not feel like it “stuck” to my root growth as well as the high voltage. Obviously, there’s going to be a color difference between growth and bleached hair, and I expect that no matter what dye i use. With the high voltage dye my growth was a very obvious darker pink. With the Amplified, the pink was there it just was not as obvious. I’ve been going back and forth because the amplified pink is a very WOW color, but the cons list is so much longer than the pros for me. I think I may try a combination of the High Voltage and the Amplified (not mixed together, but rather applied to different parts of my hair) and see how that works out. ... show more

  • Amazing!!! Love this color for my hair the brightest longest lasting ever!!
Color: Electric Lizard Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I had the most amazing green hair. I got so many compliments if you’re gonna go green I highly recommend you use this. It’s amazing. I started out just doing a little bit underneath and then I was like in love and did some on the top so I had green on the top underneath and black in the middle. I’m blonde now, but I’m definitely thinking about going back green.!!! This is the only dye that I would use. I tried to others and nothing came nowhere near the green that I got out of this💚 ... show more

  • Not worth the cost.
Color: Cotton Candy Pink Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought three colors of the amplified dye: bad boy blue, cotton candy pink, and ultraviolet. I've been using the classic dye pretty regularly since covid hit, and I was at home more than anything else and had no one to impress. I was hoping that since the amplified is supposed to have more color pigment, that it would either last longer, or be more vibrant. Sadly, neither seems to have been the case. First to address how easy it is to use. The little squeeze bottles tended it to make a mess and I ended up wearing as much of the dye as ended up in my hair. The jars that the classic color come in are definitely easier to use, especially if you're using a dying brush. As for longevity, I dyed my hair a week ago, and I'm already considering having to redo it. The pink was by far the worst, as it has completely faded from my hair and left it a sort of sad gray color. The blue really didn't take to my hair very well, but it at least turned a nice denim color. Unfortunately it has already started to fade in spots as well. The ultraviolet has stayed better than either of the other two, but I can already see where it is fading as well. I would be willing to say that perhaps it is an issue with the color choices because I have never used bad boy blue or cotton candy pink before, but ultraviolet is perhaps my favorite color offered by manic panic and I use it fairly religiously, so I know that it should have stayed vibrant longer than a week. I stick faithfully to the manic panic brand of dye because it tends to stay vibrant longer than any other brand I have tried to use. Overall, I will not be buying the amplified die again, because it is certainly not worth the extra cost. My advice is to find the color you like in the classic dye, and stick with it. It stays longer, and is cheaper. One star, because it wouldn't let me put zero. ... show more

  • Ehhh, not worth it.
I’ve never had such an issue with dye bleeding until using this. My neck and hands were constantly blue and bathtub stained. I ended up bleaching it out of my hair when it was the 7th time washing and it was like I had just dyed it. Stained my hair great though lol
