This item is a NACS Level 2 AC charger that is rated for up to 48A at 240v. This charger comes ready to mount to your wall. It includes both the mounting hardware. This charger also supports bluetooth and WiFi compatibility and has it's own mobile application. The bluetooth connectivity is basically used to get this device connected to WiFi and from there, the mobile application is your primary communication source. This charger is designed to be hardwired into a 240v power source. It has an input line length of about 2 feet. The NACS cable is approximately 30 feet in length allowing you to mount this charger at the front of a garage and still have enough length to reach a charge port at the back of a Tesla (for example). Out of the box this charger will automatically negotiate the amperage limit up to 40A maximum. Although this is rated for 48A, you MUST install the mobile application and connect this unit to it in order to boost the amperage up to that 48A limit. Frankly, this is the only downside I see with this charger. I currently have it connected to a 50A breaker so the 40A is the most I can run through it. It does a great job at 40A and provides a consistent charging experience. The charger also includes two RFID cards that can be configured via the mobile application to allow you to secure the charger's usage if placing it outside. I have chosen to rate this product 5 stars. Overall, this charger works great out of the box. It includes everything necessary to be successful with mounting it and has the ability to charge up to 48A. The negative is that it's not 48A out of the box and requires a WiFi connection to change that. The cable length is perfect for my setup and at this time, I couldn't be happier with it. I'd recommend if you own a NACS compatible vehicle (or an adapter). Criteria for Stars: 1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend. 2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case. 3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations. 4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend. 5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is of high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.

This hard-wired NACS Tesla charger is the best charger I've had. I added a photo to show you the 240V that it's displaying, and it's just amazing. Last night I charged my car from 18% to 70% and just 4 hours. This blows the regular Tesla charger out of the water with its charging speed. I have my charger synced with my electricity company, so it charges from 11 PM to 6 AM every day, since those are low-peak times. Last night I got home at 1:50 AM, and I plugged my car in when it was at 18%. It stopped charging this morning at 6 AM at 70%, giving me 62% charge in just 4 hours. I added a photo to show this. Another great thing about this charger is the 30-foot cord. I no longer have to pull right next to the charging box, and I can now park in my driveway and just run the cable straight to the car. I added a picture showing what comes in the box, and another showing the setup on the screen. You can download an app or connect this directly to the Tesla app and your electric company, so it turns on and off at the desired times during charging. I now have one of these on the left side of my house, and now this one is on the right side. I have an AUD in the backyard, and now if someone has an electric car, they can charge it on their own charger. It also comes with two key cards that look like the Tesla key card, so you can easily grant access to the charger. Another great thing about the app is that you can control the charge from your app. You can charge at 48A, or you can lessen it if you want to. I typically keep it at 32A unless I need to charge my car faster, like last night, when I moved it up to 48A. If you have to charge your car a lot, they could get hot, so I typically like the 32A area because it won't get as hot. During the colder months, you really don't have much to worry about that from my experience, but in the Spring or Summer months, it can get much hotter more easily. The installation is pretty easy if you know what you're doing; if you don't, you can easily hire an electrician. That will run you a pretty good amount, but if you have a friend who is an electrician and can do it, it will definitely save you a lot of money. It is all-weatherproof, and the Tesla plug that goes into the car has a dust cover when you're not using it, so you can protect the plug from debris. If you do have a charging box to put this in, I highly suggest using it so you can keep it covered. This will probably make this last a very long time. I have mine inside a wall charging box, so when I'm done using it, I don't have to worry about the sun beating down on it or anything like that. I tried other chargers in the past, and these APEX chargers, hands-down, have just been the best. I am giving it a five-star rating, and I highly recommend it.

In short, this is a reliable Level 2 charger from a brand I already trust This is not my first EV-related product from this brand, and so far, I have been very satisfied with the ones I have used. I already have a couple of their chargers installed at our family vacation house and also at the charity where I volunteer, so I felt comfortable trying this charger as well. We also had this one installed at the charity location, where having an extra EV charger is very useful because volunteers and less fortunate families we support often need to charge different EVs. The 30 ft cable is a big plus because it gives more flexibility with parking settings, and I also like that it comes with the J1772 connector plus a Tesla NACS adapter. This is a hardwired unit, by the way, so installation was done for us by another volunteer who is a retired mechanic and has experience with this type of work. Since he knew what he was doing, it was not really an issue for me. Watching someone experienced do it made the installation look pretty simple, but I would still strongly recommend getting help from a real electrician or qualified professional if you are not completely sure. With EV chargers, I think it is better to be safe and have it installed properly. In sum, this feels like a solid, practical Level 2 charger. It charges fast, the cable length is convenient, and I like that it is outdoor-rated. If it continues to hold up well over time like the other products I have tried from this brand, I think it is definitely worth the price for its overall performance.

I like how the listing says this is an American brand. It's designed in Australia and built in China. Worldwide charger, I guess. Let me save you some time and tell you how to turn off the RFID cards if you want. For the true Plug N’ Play experience, swipe the RFID card on the RFID panel then hold the Delay button for 5 seconds. This will activate Plug N Play mode; Plug your EV in and it starts charging automatically! If you wish to deactivate the Plug N’ play feature, follow the same steps. I'm not entirely sure if I would have figured that out without consulting the manual, but the manual tells you pretty quickly. I highly recommend just going to their website and getting the PDF since the manual comes in pretty small print. All I've done with this aside from just use it is deactivate the RFID cards. I put this in a building next to my office building, so it doesn't really need the RFID cards. It pretty much exclusively charges the Hyundai IONIQ 5 that my employees use to drive around these days. Remember, NACS isn't just for a Tesla these days. I know this has an app. I don't care. I don't have peak charges. My electricity is always the same price. I just want to plug it in and ignore it. It works fantastically for that. I don't want to make things too complicated for my employees anyway. They just plug it in while they are in the office, and unplug it when they go out for an open house or whatever. One thing to note is that this is probably smaller than you are expecting. The screen has a lot going on and is pretty small. If your eyes aren't so good, you're going to be squinting. Neither my employees nor I have had a single problem with this. It has a variety of fault codes in the manual, but we've seen none of them. The ladies that usually drive that car would be calling me if anything went wrong, and they haven't even once. They are the type to not even bother trying to unplug something for a few seconds, so absolutely nothing has gone wrong. It doesn't even really get hot.

We have this installed on our power pole next to the breaker and it’s been awesome. We actually were able to manage hooking it up to our breaker ourselves - but, do keep in mind that it IS hardwired, so it has to be wired into the breaker and cannot just be plugged in. I find that more convenient honestly and more reliable though. It charges super fast. We have a charger that plugs in and I swear that this charger charges even faster. The length of the cable is nice. Truthfully, I would like it a LITTLE longer again just because it is hardwired… so there is NO way to use any kind of makeshift extension cord or anything to add length to it; which, is annoying. But as long as you make sure it gets installed in an area that will not need ANY other use other than parking and charging, it’s fine. Other than cord length, I’m very happy overall with this cord.

I have the smaller Mach3 version of this and I can't say enough great things about this brand. I really appreciate the value of this brand. I've called them and always had them answer right away for technical support or product information. They seem knowledgeable and appear to be US-based (or at least it felt like it). This provides all the functionality of higher-priced brands and seems pretty reliable. The included accessories are the mount for the charging nozzle. It was relatively straightforward to install. It charges the battery pretty rapidly as well. It is well-designed and I appreciate that the connectors for the cord are on the bottom so there is no strain on the cable. I appreciate the extra cable length as well. It provides a strong connection to the car and should hold up well for years to come.
