We are really enjoying these lights! We have a vinyl lined inground pool so we have a metal wall lining and the magnet in these work great, they really stay put. The reason I put the low score on the remote is that you have to basically stand right above the light to turn them off. You cannot turn them on with the remote, you have to do that manually. They change colors just fine with it, but again you have to be right next to them for it to work. The are very easy to use, but you do have to use the back button to turn them on. Those are the only down sides, other than that, they are just what we were after. We have a large pool, so we needed a minimum or 4, though we do want to add 2-4 more for a brighter effect. ... show more

    • Remote instructions?
The light is perfect for our Quickset15 foot above ground pool. The magnet works through the liner so no need to glue the metal to the pool. Put the metal ring on the outside of the pool wall and the light magnetized through the wall from the inside of the pool. No instructions for remote, and like others, we cannot figure out some features like how to turn on the timer feature for example. Also the remote seems to unpair from the light after several minutes and we have to pull the light out of the pool, press the manual switch again for over 3 seconds and then remote will control the light. But still glad we got it. Will update if we figure out the remote! Update: using this for second year. Still works well, keeps charge for a long time- we have it on daily for about 2 hours and the charge lasts a week or more. Still cannot figure out how to control the light with the remote. Still disconnects so you have to get the light out of the pool to turn it on every day but then can turn it off after couple of hours. Can’t figure out timer feature on remote either. ... show more

Bought 3 boxes for our 18x36 inground pool. Lights definitely light up the pool but the remote is worthless. If the light stay off to long the remote will not turn them on so you will need to manually turn them on. Pretty annoying when you just wanna turn them on at night and swim.

Love these pools lights. I have 16x24x48 oval pool and 2 are plenty bright. The magnet is large and holds well. I use the magnet disk provided but they will magnet to my pool poles that make up the frame. I can’t seem to get the timer to activate on auto 24 cycle. I do have to pull them out of water to turn power back on for that reason. They do the job and are a great price. ... show more

Less time under water, the better. One went out within days. Another was left out for two days, but then had water all under the water resistant rubber. Should probably have backed it up with a piece of tape, if no other leaks were confirmed anyway.. Looked great while it lasted. The more lights, the better it looks. ... show more

I was surprised by the amount of light this put out in our above ground pool. My only complaint is that the remote does not turn it on. I tried using the on button to no avail. There is a button on the back of the light, so I push that and then the colors work and the off button works. It is no big deal for an above ground pool, might be hard with an in ground. ... show more
