  • WaterproofThe shade sail is made of 160GSM PES material, PU coated, blocks up to 98% of UV rays, and has a shade rate of 90%- 95% (white series 85%-90%). It is resistant to light rain and has a water pressure resistance of 400 kPa. Please do not use it in heavy rain or storms
  • InstallationWaterproof shade sails need to be installed at a 30-degree angle with maximum tension to allow run off and face up. Otherwise the water may accumulate and affect the use of the shade canopy
  • Splicing ProcessTo improve the waterproof performance, we use hot-melt adhesive and splicing process. Most sizes consist of two pieces of shade fabric, but you don't have to worry about leaks at the splice

We’ve had this sail for 5 years and only take it down during winter. Where we live, we go through very hot summers and extreme Santa Ana winds. The sail has held up excellently. This provides great shade. I have an east facing sliding glass door in my bedroom, and even with blackout curtains, my room would get overly warm. This shade helps keep my room cooler while providing a nice “roof” for the small patio outside of my room.

Love the look n feel, great material but if it stretched over or across any wood or metal will tear. Plus, not as waterproof as I had hoped. I tried putting pvc pipe to prevent tearing, but very windy where I live.

Can't pull it tight enough not to hold water. Too much fabric in the middle so it sags in the middle and pools.
