I have tried all kinds of purple/blue/black shampoos to keep my gray hair bright. I have one "yellow" streak up front that stays brassy in color. This product works better than most; the rest of my gray is beautiful and bright after using it. but that one yellow streak....just can't find anything to get it white. Product is good, conditions hair well, slight "chemically" smell but that's normal from most treated shampoos. Overall, better than anything I have used so far. I think I'm just going to have to bleach this one spot....

Product is easy to use without a lot of mess. I have natural copper red hair but at 61 it's starting to fade. This looked like an easy alternative to dye. I don't see a lot of any color depositing and it gives the few gray ones I have a rose gold tint. It doesn't look bad but it's not the copper tint I was looking for. It does make my hair really soft and full.

I love Lโorรฉal and have been a loyal brand supporter for decades. Their Elnette hair spray, permanent hair color and highlight kits have been my only store bought go to. I am a natural red head and wanted to get back to my natural red color without using permanent color every 6 weeks. This product is the perfect fit. Not only does it condition my locks, itโs so easy to use for a touch up that compliments my natural red color. I totally recommend this product for an alternative to those using permanent colors. This will absorb into your strands and condition them at the same time. Bye bye dried out locks and dull color.

Color: Cool Blonde
This toner is super easy to use in the shower, and it has a lovely scent! I use it once a week on my color-treated hair to tone down the yellow/golden look to a more pale and bleached hue that I find more appealing. It saves me from having to make frequent, repeated trips to the salon for toner applications, and I use it in combination with my purple shampoos and conditioners to keep my color the right shade. Will definitely be buying this product again!

Some of these negative reviews are not fair to the product because with some of them, it is obvious the reviewers do not understand the purpose of this product. This is not hair dye! It is a demi gloss, point is to tone and condition hair, neutralizing brassy (orange, yellow) tones. Some shades have color depositing properties to enhance hair that is already or close to that color - it is a gloss, not a permanent dye! You cant get dark plum brown from this gloss when youre starting with light hair. It's important to read the box description/instructions and look the starting color examples on the box - if your current hair color isnt one of the starting hair examples on the box, then that gloss shade is not for you! (Eg. If you have gray hair, the Plum gloss is not meant for gray hair, so dont leave a poor review because your gray hair turned purple!) I have natural medium brown hair, that was getting brassy with sun and swimming. I almost got the Cool Brunette gloss but then decided i want to add a pop of color so picked the Plum. This worked very well neutralizing the brassiness, leaving an violet ash tone to my hair. It is beautiful! I think i will try the Cool Brunette next time. The only issue i have with this is it isnt as deep conditioning as i had hoped, but i have dry textured hair so it is what it is. However, this gloss worked excellently as a toner.

I have stopped going to the salon and this one step toner is perfect for my brassy blonde highlights. It tones down the brass and makes the highlights blend with my overall hair color better. Smokey Bronde is the perfect description for this tone. Very moisturizing and the smell isn't unpleasant or overwhelming. I have already recommended this product to several friends.

Color: Silver
If you have very light gray it will turn hair painter's blue. On darker gray hair it will be purply. The Bronde color works the best and I put it on before I washed my hair which lessened the effect, blonde color came out nonbrassy and light.
