As a beginner, I definitely need a lot of practice before I can actually attempt to ink real skin. It's a lot harder than I would have ever thought given the needle travel depth and number of strokes per minute. I got these practice skins to work with while still familiarizing myself with my two pens. These are a high quality and fair simulation of real skin. At 3mm thickness, I have found these to be better than previously tried thinner practice skins. I am able to use both sides as the ink does not bleed through. There are 5 practice skins in this package along with 300 ink cups in three different sizes, (100 each). They come individually wrapped to keep them clean and ready. The texture is good. I think that these would be useful for beginners and advanced users alike. I like these and believe they are great for practice.

The skins (3mm) are great for getting some practice and are actually thick enough to use both sides. The ink cups come in 3 sizes which I love since some tats are small and don't need a lot of ink, while some require pretty good amount, lol. It allows having a depth of ink for dipping, instead of shallow.

Does not mimmick real skin at all it’s very tough. Upside is that it holds ink very well but you have to work it a lot harder than real skin. You can not stretch this material at all.

These fake tattoo skins are such an affordable and fundamental way to practice and learn the trade with no anxiety. These are nice and thick, I find some on the market are too thin to be satisfying or feel real. Comes with ink cap cups that I don't use personally, so no comment on those. But the skins are solid.
