These pans clean up beautifully and replaced most of my teflon. I have no problem with them sticking or getting too dirty, but I would recommend cleaning with salt, a chain mesh and drying out on medium heat after washing before oiling.

I've had this set for about a year now and these cast-irons really live up to their potential! As long as you don't use soap or Medieval black magic on them, they retain their seasoning and make even the most basic meals taste leaps and bounds better than what you'd get with a steel skillet!

    • Cast iron skillets the way they should be
I never had a set of 3 skillets, and if a former roommate hadn’t ruined my last cast iron skillet I wouldn’t have a set of 3 today, but here we are. You want to buy this set because it is so much easier to keep them all cleaned and properly seasoned if you pick the right sized skillet for the job. I’ve taken to frying my tamales instead of steaming them (you must try this - 1-2 tbsp oil is all you need for up to 4 tamales) and the smaller skillet is the best.     • Fabulous Cast Iron skillets!
I made a conscious decision to rid my houses of teflon pans, and turned to the tried and true: cast iron. These cast iron skillets, which came in a set of 3, are, as expected fabulous. They were pre-seasoned (important as my beach house is a rental) and are easy and safe to use and care for. I still have my grandmother's cast iron skillet and soup pans, and 100 or more years later, they remain tried and true. Cannot recommend these enough. Please don't make my mistake of believing these are pre seasoned and use them without seasoning them yourself. I tried using them this morning and everything stuck! It wasn't real bad but still more than it should been!

Haven't used them yet, but they look and feel to be good quality. Was advised by a cooking expert to not use detergent when cleaning because it would remove the seasoning. Instead, wash with hot water while metal is still hot using a copper or stainless steel pad, dry, then apply a bit of veg oil.
