This HexClad non stick wok is so pretty, stylish and very well made. Even though it’s non stick, it is recommended to use small amount of oil to season the wok before first use, and this hybrid wok will perform better and better as it continues to season. The wok heats up quickly, I cooked some dishes with this wok, only on first use, there’s area that food get stuck on the wok but after the first time the wok works better. The handle size is great, it seems strong as well. I like that the wok is not too heavy and also not too light neither. It comes with lifetime warranty from HexClad. This wok is dishwasher safe, but I have not tried placing it in dishwasher yet, only hand washing so far, so easy to clean. Overall I love this wok. ... show more

I love cast iron, but moving a large cast iron skillet full of food is getting to be too much for my wrists. I wanted something that cooked like cast iron, cleaned like nonstick and was no heavier then stainless steel. I was worried about the cost, but I caught the 14" wok on sale and I am so happy I did! Pros: 1) cooks beautiful and evenly at every temperature. 2) extremely easy to clean, including when cooking at high temperatures with sugary sauce 3) durable: I have chopped ground meat roughly with a metal spatula with no damage. Gently used steel wool with no scratching. I haven't had any need to give it hard scrub, but it seems like it would handle it just fine. 4) Oven safe up to 500 degrees! 5) light weight 6) large domed lid with glass viewing window is included with the 14" wok Limitations: 1) While the wok is dishwasher safe, realistically the 14" wok is too big for a dishwasher. But, it handwashes easily, so it doesn't matter. 2) Lid is only oven safe up to 400 degrees. 3) It's expensive. (But in my opinion, it IS worth the price.) I have only had the pan for a few weeks. I will update this review if the pan fails in less than 3 years. ... show more

This is our second Hexclad pan. We love our 10" skillet, too. But this wok is nice and deep, for stir-frying and deep-frying. It's big, but not unwieldy, since it has two handles. We've had the skillet for several months, and it still looks brand-new. It's the only kind of non-stick surface I like now, and is so easy to take care of. I have to agree with Gordon Ramsey - Hexclad is the Rolls Royce of cookware. Expensive, yes. But with a lifetime guarantee, I'll take my chances. I decided to buy this wok, and what I got is exactly as claimed: features like a handle that stays cool, easy to clean (dishwasher safe), and non-stick. It feels sturdy when holding the handle, and the weight of the wok corresponds to its build quality. Very satisfied with this wok.

It's just phenomenal - it will even sear like a cast iron. Gets hot quickly and distributes the heat evenly. You can use any utensils with it including metal. The surface just does not let anything stick to it.. its weird how well this works. I think it's taken a couple hundred years, but we now have something that cooks as well as a cast iron that doesn't stick AND weighs way less. It's the best of all worlds. It is expensive, but there is a lifetime warranty so even if something COULD hurt this thing, you could just get a new one free, but honestly, I think this pan will last the rest of your life and you'll be happy you have it. (get the size that is appropriate for you) I love the big 14" WOK - you can do pretty much anything with it, but a hybrid skillet/wok may work better for you.     • Pricey but its worth every penny

I bought this wok to make stir-fries and other dishes for my family. I like that it has two layers of stainless steel and a nonstick surface. It is very durable and easy to clean. It also heats up evenly and quickly. It works with my induction cooktop and it is oven-safe. It has a stay-cool handle that is comfortable to hold. I gave it 4 stars because it has some flaws. It is very heavy and large, and it takes up a lot of space in my kitchen. It also needs some seasoning before using, or else the food will stick. It is also very expensive, and I think there are cheaper options that can do the same job. But overall, I am happy with this wok. It is a versatile and high-quality cookware that can handle a lot of cooking. It makes my food taste better and more fun. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to cook with a wok. ... show more

    • My new kitchen favorite!

We were hesitant to purchase bc of the price, but this wok, pot, frying pan, bowl has been the best kitchen utensil purchase we’ve made in a long time. It’s gorgeous, has the perfect weight so as not to be so heavy I dread using it (like LeCreuset) and not light and flimsy like many cheap pots and pans. I absolutely love using this! I’ve been using it every day since we purchased it and bc of the craftsmanship, durability, even cooking and quick clean up we’ve decided to purchase the entire Hexclad set. My husband and I went back & forth with me wanting the 12” and him saying just get the 14”— I gave in and purchased the 14” and I’m so glad I did! I use this as a large bowl as well. It’s gorgeous, functional and truly is high quality. On a side note: we are not Gordon Ramsay fans and my husband was actually annoyed at how much we love this bc he really can’t stand him (I couldn’t care less) — but even my hubby admitted that Ramsay endorses a great product. We’re sorry we didn’t pick up the entire set during their Black Friday sale but we will purchase their largest set as soon as they go on sale again. Really can’t recommend this cookware highly enough. Fabulous! I cannot believe I’m so excited over cookware! Lol! I suddenly feel so old! But if you’re on the fence about this, I strongly recommend buying bc you’ll get a lot of use out of it and it’s a beautifully made, solid piece. ... show more
