I’ve been using this one for a couple weeks now. My previous unit died after 3 years because I guess I was supposed to be emptying the water tank every year before storing it. Algae grew in it and it became impossible to clean. So word of warning, empty the water tank every year before storing. This one has been working great and even though it’s a bit smaller than the other one, it’s been keeping my room 200sqft cool. Exhaust hose is good quality, easy to maneuver. Window panels are decent length and come with plenty of foam to fit into window frame. The electricity usage has also been significantly less so I’m happy.

This is a great little unit. My daughter purchased one for her room and loved it so much she encouraged me to get one so I didn’t have to suffer anymore. I’m so glad I followed her advice. LOVE it. I purchased one for my bedroom as well. They are less noisy than other portable air conditioners I’ve tried in the past. It is solid and fairly heavy but not as bulky which is a HUGE plus. There is a drainage hose that comes out the back, you will need to set it into a bucket or something to catch the water it creates when running. I personally use a 5 gallon water storage container. That keeps the hose inside securely, and is large enough I don’t need to be panicked about water flooding every time I use it. It looks classy not cheap and desperate. There is a little bit of set up required, but nothing to difficult or strenuous. The hose fits securely out the window and is not flimsy and cheap. It gets my room so cold. What a breath of fresh air this has been so far this summer. I haven’t had it long enough to see what my electric bill will be, but given how hot it is where I am right now, I’m so glad I have it. This was a great purchase.

I had a previous review but I can't seem to find it. I did not return the item! I had trouble with the accessories I needed to hook it up to my window. I had a back and forth with a very pleasant representative named Lily as she attempted to assist me with the issues I was having. Recently, I purchased new accessories (they issued me a refund) and I could hook it up finally. It works fantastic! Keeps my home office nice and cool. I spend most of my day there since I'm WFH. Just what was needed!

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE*** THEY GAVE ME A FULL REFUND. GLAD TO SEE THEY HAVE GREAT CUSTOMERS SERVICE. I have used this AC unit for two and a half months. I now cannot run the AC mode on it without this horrible noise coming from it. It's definitely broken. I bought two of these portable AC units and the other one is still working fine. I did contact the seller so hopefully they make it right.

The media could not be loaded. Let’s face it - summers in California can be brutal. That’s why I checked out the 8000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, and I’m loving it! It covers up to 350 square feet, includes a dehumidifier, and has variable fan speeds. Setting it up was a cinch, thanks to the window install kit. Remote control makes adjusting temps a breeze while relaxing on the couch. Handy sleep mode keeps noise levels down for peaceful zzz’s. And with the 24-hr timer, you can schedule power-ons and offs strategically. Since a baby boy’s arriving in June, keeping our home cool is crucial. This AC nails it, guaranteeing comfy indoor temps even when it’s roasty outside. Downsides? None so far. Increased electricity use is normal, and filters need changing periodically. Fair trades for staying cool, IMO. Will update if anything changes. 😊

Purchased this for a southern facing bedroom with a skylight, improperly designed venting when house was built. Additionally, so has numerous computers & video systems putting off heat. This room was always 10 degrees hotter than rest of house. Since adding this unit, room is the perfect temperature now. Completely corrected the issue. With timer, temperature and remote, operation is easy and only runs when set too or needed. This AC unit really works. Easy venting out of window.

It worked amazing for about a day and then it's just blowing out hot air. It moves easily and is very quiet. It's not too big but I wouldn't say it's small and or if the way. I drain it and clean the filters so it doesn't leak but it's not helping with anything. Update: so customer service was amazing in getting it all resolved for me.
