Heavy, solid, smooth inside - you know, a normal Lodge pan. I like the two little handles instead of a frying pan handle, a lot less stress picking it up. And it is the _perfect_ size for a one-person Dutch baby (making one in my 10" pan meant it was either way too thin and burned, or too much for me to eat). I'll be making other things in this, too, the smaller pan will be very useful. It's still just a trifle sticky near the center of the pan, need to make something with plenty of oil to it to upgrade the seasoning - but 98% of the pan is already perfectly non-stick.

I have had a stainless steel Faberware set for 50 years and a Cuisinart set for 37 years. I started purchasing some Lodge cast iron two years ago. This 8 inch pan is much nicer than the sauté pan that came with the Farberware set. Eggs don’t stick they slide right off making cleaning a breeze. Supposedly, it can make cornbread from a mix and it will fit in the pan. Haven’t tried it yet. It’s a perfect size for cooking for one: burger, fish, or a pancake.

We are very happy with our new Lodge cast iron pan. We needed something versatile that we could use on the cooktop, in the oven and on our grill. The 2 handles make it easy to hold and manipulate. It is heavy, as expected, making it very conducive to even distribution of heat. We have used it to cook chicken fried steak, gravy and cornbread. It has worked well in all instances. Looking forward to using it on the grill. This will be a piece that can be passed down for years to come. The best part is that it is MADE IN AMERICA!

I had recently just bought this pan and a Baker's double-handled pan both by Lodge the baker's pan is a little bit lighter and weight than this one but both I bought with the intent of living in a tiny home and wanted to cut down on all my pots pans and baking racks and etc for space. I love cast iron this 12-in double handled skillet is space saving because it doesn't have the long handle and it doesn't take long to get used to using the two double handles. This pan is very versatile obviously it's a skillet but it's also a baking pan you can put a pretty good size chicken or a small size turkey in this thing and roast in it and it's perfect because it fits in table top size convection ovens. And just like all cast iron it's tough and will last for centuries well maybe not centuries but you got the idea highly recommend having one of these pants and of course like I said before it's Lodge enough said.
