After a very disappointing experience with a different brand, I decided to try this and I LOVE IT!!! It's so easy to prepare (you don't have to mix anything). It also smells lovely and doesn't damage your hair further. This was a really important issue for me because I started with very dark hair, so I had to bleach it pretty harshly. It also lasts pretty long for semi-permanent. After about 2 weeks, I'm touching it up because it started to fade a little, but I didn't even have to buy more because I only used half the bottle and since there's no mixing, you can just save the rest for later! I decided to put in a subtle blue streak in my long gray. I ordered this product and followed the easy directions. After washing my hair, I left the section of hair I wanted to dye loose and pinned up the rest of my hair. I used gloves and added the thick gel-like dye to the loose strands. The gel stays on the hair nicely. After adding the blue dye, I rolled the dyed section up and pinned it away from my other hair. I left it on for about an hour and then rinsed it. The hair took the dye well and that section of my hair looks blue and is still healthy. I am pleased with how easy this product is to use, how well the dye took to my hair, how it has no noticeable smell, and how it left my hair healthy. I well use this again. ... show more

Lime Crime colors have never done me dirty. I’ve tried several colors over the years, including shades of red, pink, green, and blue. I also just bought their Peri Dust and it’s the perfect shade of periwinkle that I was looking for. The colors are long lasting, vibrant, and leave my hair feeling healthy and smelling great. I also feel like they go a longer way in covering my hair than other brands, like Arctic Fox, even though AF technically has more product in their larger bottles. I've been a manic panic lady for my whole life. Never tried Lime Crime. This pink color blows manic panic out of the water for vibrancy and starts coloring right away. I used to sleep in the pink manic panic and that color couldn't hold a candle to this pink. Amazing. While it is vibrant, it did wash out of my hair very quickly. Like 3 washes ... show more

Fantastic. This ended up looking almost 100% what it said it would be based on starting color. A beautiful teal and seaweed green. I left it in for 2.5 hours because my hair can be stubborn with color. I missed a few spots for 100% full coverage, but I had plenty of dye left over. I can touch it up later. I will say the actually color in the bottle was much darker than what it shows online, but the result is what it said it would be. I usually use permanent dye and I did this because I knew it wouldn't damage my hair and I could leave it in longer to be more vibrant. I'm going to a party and really just need it for a night, so Im happy to let it fade after. 10/10 will use again. It's also very kind to the nose and the plus side of semi permanent is that you can store what you have left. You don't have to toss it. ... show more

I really wanted to like this..but now I can see why there are mixed reviews. Not sure if I didn’t realize that this was semi-permanent or not? Maybe I forgot to read the product details beforehand. I love other LC products, & the smell alone had me in heaven. However, for the price (almost $30 with S&H), I don’t think this is worth it. I used maybe half a jar/tub on my shoulder length half shaved head of hair, & after washing my hair maybe only three times, it’s already super faded. Also, the color is not what I was expecting. Not sure if it has to do with my hair texture, or that it wasn’t lightened enough before I applied the color, but I just was not entirely happy with the color. Also, even though I thought I fully saturated my hair, there were parts of my hair that were different shades of the pink..which is a cool effect but again: not what I imagined. I have gotten a lot of compliments though, & certainly it didn’t leave my hair feeling rough & destroyed like other hair dyes have in the past..not sure if I would buy again. ... show more

Before and after pics for reference. I got exactly what I wanted, just enough purple to hit the lightest blonde tips of my hair, and only mildly tone the rest. I love it, and if it washes out decent I’ll love it even more.
