Purchased a set of these a couple years ago and was surprised how well they held up after a harsh winter. A few of the bags did end up leaking and were tossed but I purchased two more sets a year later because they work really well. I have a 24' round above ground pool and live in the north east. I used stainless steel carabiner's through the holes on the bags and the pool cover grommets around the outer edge about every 8' to keep weight on the outside, then used 5' lengths of boat line on a few and tossed them out onto the cover to add a little weight to the top. I live atop a hill and the wind gets crazy which can lift the cover. These water weights do their job and keep it down. Great buy. ... show more

I bought these water weights, not for a swimming pool, but to put water in them and put them in the bottom of our inflatables for the lawn to help weigh them down with heavy winds. There’s a couple things I do not like about them, when we got them every nozzle/plug area was bent from the way it was packed and it has held that shape so it makes it very difficult to cap The plug after water is put in it., I do not like where they put the water plug. It should’ve been up in the corner, not a quarter of the way down the bag so that you can’t fill the bag completely.. again I am using these as weights for inflatables and not pool covers ... show more

My above ground pool eternally has the issue where wind gets under the cover and will flap it up like a big sail. This is a good way to weigh down around the inside edges to keep it from doing that. Wind blew my bags off my pool and everyone that fell split and broke , material does not seem durable. Also once I filled the bags it was very hard to close the caps . The were mishaped from packaging and was very hard to get them to close

These did a great job. This past winter was extra windy and the pool cover came off at least 3 times. Finally installed these and no more issues. Wish I would have bought sooner. Would have saved me lots of time and frustration.
