What kind of outlet does this charger require? It plugs into a NEMA 14-30 outlet (240V, 30A), commonly used for 4-prong dryer circuits. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and protected by a 30A GFCI breaker. Is this charger compatible with all Tesla models? Yes! This charger is equipped with NACS coupler and is compatible with all Tesla vehicles (Model S, 3, X, Y, Cybertruck) via the Tesla charging port. For non-NACS charging port EVs, a compatible adapter (e.g.J1772 adapter) is required How do I select the appropriate charging current (10A, 12A, 16A, 20A, 24A)? Amperage depends on your circuit and EV. 1. If your car only accepts 16A, higher settings won’t help. 2. Use lower amps (10A–12A) if wiring is uncertain or it’s hot. 3. Start at 16A–20A, and go up to 24A only if your setup can safely support it. Can I use this charger outdoors? This has been really really awesome for the 7 months! We chose NOT to get professional wiring. In our home, that required a digital switcher to attach to the 220 our Dryer uses, and then we had to punch a 4" hole through the wall to get the adapter OUT. 3" was too small. We just stuffed Styrofoam into the hole so no air is going through. Frankly, it charges exactly as it should. It's level 2, so it's slower than high speed, but according to Tesla, it's better on your battery, and you can't get a level 3 in home anyway. :D And convenience? Oh wonderful! Plug it in at the end of the day and drive out tomorrow with a full charge. We use it about 3 times/week and so far have had no problems, or even slow-downs. I do NOT recommend getting professional wiring to do this. It's way too simple to do yourself for a lot less, unless your 220 is on the other side of the house. Good charger for nacs. The ccs with nacs adapter stopped charging so I picked up this as a replacement. Handy its got a charger handle storage. Price was decent.

This is a useful item if you have an ev. The only downside is that it makes a loud clicking sound when switching between the primary and secondary sources. Otherwise, a great product.
