After 3 weeks or so the charger is working great. Quality of the charger, display, handle and cord are good quality. I have it outside all the time and is holding up well so far. It has one of the longer cords as well compared to other units. I bought this because I needed the 6 and 10 amp low rate charge rates because I plug it into an AC outlet that has a mini-split air conditioner on that same circuit. So no worries on tripping the breaker! Just to test it out, I ran the unit at its highest output when I 1st got it and it was fine. So overall, a LOT of flexibility, really good quality and highly recommended.

get this charger like NOW ! ive gotten maybe 2 chargers now and they worked fine for the first month, than they would end up not working anymore, so i ended up getting this charger and let me say it has been amazing !! which is why i waited to write the review because i wanted to see if it would uphold at least 2 months and i has ! unlike my last one that only lasted me a month go figure. this brand however has been just amazing ! charges my char easy to connect and has not disappointed me what so ever ! love that it also comes with its own storage bag incase if you intend to take it on the go.

This a very nicely made J1772 charger by Ristow and would make an excellent travel charger. It will run off currents between 110 volts to 240 volts, allowing you to charge from a variety of electrical outlets. Just having that option makes it a worthwhile choice. It has a programmable timer in the event your electricity provider offers lower rates during certain off-peak hours. The Ristow allow you to select the power output from 6 amps to a maximum of 16 amps. Please note: The Level 1 or Level 2 designation does not refer to power ouput, but rather voltage input. Plugging this Ristow into a 240 volt outlet will not increase it's maximum output in amps over what it is capable of outputting on 110 volt current. Here, the Level 1/Level 2 distinction is a matter of convenience in selecting outlets to plug it into as opposed to increasing power output. The timer and amperage output selections are very easy to make on the charger and your selections are indicated on the display. It comes in a nice storage bag/case. Two year warranty.

Nice quality, informative display, decently portable: This charger is made with higher quality materials - the cord is thick and well protected and the main charging box is solidly constructed and not easy to break or damage while handling or using. The LCD display on the main box provides useful charging info to keep track of energy usage, and the controls allow you to adjust the energy flow to throttle between current strengths, so you can pick a setting for overnight charging or fast charging with just a push of a button. The unit connects well and provides a consistent current while charging, and the adapters make it highly versatile if you ever use a tesla charger or own multiple EVs with different charging port types. The unit is pretty heavy and not as easy to carry around as some other units I've owned, but the cord wraps up nicely and the included carrying case makes it easy to store in a trunk or similar, so you can keep it neatly wrapped up and ready to use while on the go. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

Got this to replace the factory Toyota charger for a Prius Plugin. Works great. We only use it for level 1 charging but it works well. This displays more info than the factory charger. The cord is also longer than the factory charger. Comes with a carrying bag.

I've gotten several of these units to test them out, so far they all stand up to the outdoor elements, and charges with no issues. I will report back if anything changes but so far so good. Checking the retail market on the pricing Amazon has the best pricing by far on these units. If anything changes i will let you know

This portable Level 1 and 2 EV charger is extremely handy. You can select the charge amp (6-16), and plug into a 110 or 240 volt outlet. It is from a German company, and has all the piles of certifications electronics should come with, which makes me feel much safer about using it. And speaking of using it, it is easy to use. The controls are intuitive, and I figured them all out without the manual, then checked the manual to see if I'd missed anything important. I hadn't. My only comment is for those who don't know. Not all "Level 2" chargers are created equal. "Level 2" refers to the higher voltage of 240 volts (with Level 1 being 110v and Level 3 being 480v). But Volts is only half the equation. Volts times Amps equals Watts (amount of usable power). An expensive Level 2 charging station may be 32, 40 or even 50 amps. This means that higher end Level 2 charging stations will charge your EV 3 or 4 times faster than this charger. That isn't a dig at this charger. This is a portable model you can use anywhere, and at a fair price. This charger is great, I just don't want someone to be misled to thinking this "Level 2" charger will charge as fast as the "Level 2" charger you plugged into at the downtown parking area. I recommend this.
