The media could not be loaded. Picked up this charger as an alternative to the Tesla mobile charger. This charger comes hard wired with a NEMA 14-50 plug. We have the need to plug in a Ford Mach-E on occasion and it’s not easy to do switching between a Tesla and Ford charger. This charger can be used with the Tesla adapter and it plugs right into the Ford. This package comes with everything you need to get started. It even comes with wall mounts to mount the charger and a mount to hold the handle. The charger also has a small display that tells you how many kWh the current charge has charged into the car as well as how long it has been charging. This is really nice since the Tesla mobile charger has no display whatsoever. I think this is an excellent charger especially if you’re a household that has a Tesla and a second car of a different brand.

**UPDATE** The seller responded withmore information. The unit can be used outdoors. The item description states for outdoor use. When Iit arrived. I read the instructions. It states do not get this wet. How is this OK gor outdoor use?

My wife and I both own EVs and I'm in the process of setting up a charging station at my office and at her office. We've got a good set up at home but the other part of the equation is having a rugged and dependable portable charger to keep in the trunk for unexpected situations. EVDANCE might not be a 'household name' to general consumers but they're well known in the EV marketplace for making solid products and selling them at a reasonable price point. This charger might not offer much in the way of innovative features but it does everything you need it to and then some. It charges very quickly for a portable and has all over the protections you should expect including short circuit protection, overheat protection, over voltage protection, etc. Unlike many portable devices it has a very clear and functional LED screen as well as intelligent charging. IMO, you're probably better served getting something more powerful for a home charger but this is a very capable portable EV charger at a very solid value price point. Highly recommended!
