The buttons on the front of the device don't seem to do anything. An app, called "CHARSHINE," with account, is required in order to change any settings on this cable. It also requests a PIN code that was on a label in the documentation, not anywhere on the device itself, and no information was given as to where to look for it. That being said, I didn't have the typical connection issues I associate with relatively cheap devices when it comes to pairing the app with the device and setting up wifi so I can control it. The wifi connected quickly and easily, even to my 5G-capable network with WPA-2, something not all cheaper devices tend to do well. My main issue is the misleading imagery that suggests pushing a button on the front will change the amperage. The particular circuit I'm using is only rated to 30A, and due to the 80% rule I should only be running it at 24A. I used an adapter that can handle the current to convert from a NEMA 6-30 to a NEMA 14-50, and set the cable's max amperage to 24A. It seems to be working perfectly fine without any issues. I'd honestly give this 5 stars if it weren't for the misleading imagery. EDIT: I did try a few more times and realized there are the buttons, you just need to press very hard to actuate. Harder than you'd think. Going to leave it at a 4 star for that and the other semi-confusing bits. None of the reviews have mentioned the app experience, so to elaborate on that: It does seem to work fine. I like that it has a price per kWh you can enter, though that price changes a bit on my bill every month because it depends on the "distribution related component" from my provider, which fluctuates. But it still gives you a good ballpark cost if you put in an average that you pay. Charged great. Because of my setup and it's limitations it delivered 22.7kWh in a bit under 4 hours, which I can't complain about. On my specific vehicle, that adds over 100 mi of range, which is more than enough for my daily amount of driving.

Easy to install, sets up quickly, controls are easy to use and it pairs with my Ioniq 5 perfectly. I generally run at 20 amps. Just be sure you have the correct plug adapter (if needed) for your 240v outlet.
