There are chargers that are better at staying put in the garage and chargers that are better being tossed in the trunk. This is the latter. Being able to work on 220v OR 110v, means this is a charger that you can use anywhere you can find an outlet, even if it's only 110v. Of course, higher current levels are found on 220v than 110v, but when you're low, juice is juice. There are no complicated apps, just plug it into an outlet, set the charger, and plug it in. When it comes to a "use it anywhere" travel / portable charger, this is a fantastic choice, and it's a really feature-filled charger, but I do kind of take exception to them mentioning "lightning protection". A hit of lightning close enough to this charger and it, and the car, is probably done for. Now, small surges that come from down the power line, sure it might be able to filter that out. But if a bolt of lightning just traveled through 3 miles of nothing but air, I promise whatever little inductors they have protecting this will be melted by an actual lightning strike. Nothing protects you from an ACTUAL lightning strike, so if it's thundering and lightning outside, don't wander out in it to plug your EV in, thinking, "The description says protection from lightning!". No. Just please don't. It's not anything I was going to take a star off for of course because it's just something silly in the description and I wanted to make sure nobody got the wrong idea upon reading that. Speaking of stormy weather, though, this IS rated to NEMA 4, which if you're unfamiliar, means rain, snow, splashes of water, pretty much anything except being submerged. So feel free to leave this plugged in when it's raining, just avoid lightning if possible, lol. It's nice if you can do Level 2 all the time, but sometimes there isn't a 220v outlet in sight and you need to plug in. This is a heck of a charger for the money. It's light weight, easy to use, and even has a bag you can just toss in the trunk or behind the seat. 5 stars, and a good value.

This charger can be a great addition to your garage to keep your car topped off, but at Level 1, it takes a couple days to fully charge my Model 3. At a maximum of 16 amps, this only BARELY meets the qualifications for "Level 2" which makes this charger particularly overpriced compared to the official Tesla Mobile Connector that supports many many different plug types if you get the right adapters. I would not have paid full price for this with other options out there from more well-known brands. The build quality isn't bad, but it's not as good as the one from Tesla. With all of that said, it did a fine job of charging my car at a snail's pace from a regular wall outlet. My only other complaint is how short the cable is. It was not long enough to plug into an outlet in front of my car and then reach straight back to the charge port on the rear corner. As such, I'll be leaving this charger at the office where I can get a few miles of range while I work.

We have a single charger for two vehicles. sometimes things align and two charges are needed. This suits our needs. I have a tesla and she has a ford. This is ready to go for both. It isn't a large charger and it isn't the fastest charger. It is well made and is super portable. This is a fantastic charger as a second charger or a a trunk charger. Quality is good and I see no issues from 4 uses so far.
