Works better than our stock Mitsubishi charger and works faster. We bought our 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in 2024 and it came with the stock Mitsubishi charger. It was slow and normally wouldn't get a full charge unless plugging in before 6pm and unplugging at 830am. This charger not only works well on a standard 15amp outlet but does it quick. Our battery charges about 1 mi per 45 min to 1hr. It charges at 13watts and works well. It's only been a couple of weeks but so far it's been perfect. Just know you'll need an extension cord. Our garage outlet to our end of garage is 16ft and the cord didn't reach out 1 car garage out to it which is about 20ft. So know you'll probably need a 9ft appliance extension cord. The cost and how good it is I don't mind a small extensions cord.

In this case cheaper is better. The Toyota supplied charger for my new Prius Prime was too good. It has built in "power quality" diagnostics and it did not like the quality at my garage outlet. Tripped off line alert a few seconds of charging. But a public charger worked just fine. So I purchased the Morec 15A EV Charger hoping it was not as picky as the Toyota OEM equipment. And the new charger works just fine. As for the Morec charger, the build quality is fine, It has a solid feel, large gauge cable and the plug that goes into the car is well made. I am limiting the charge rate to 8A via the Prius software and it runs cool. From completely discharged to fully charged (40 mile EV range) in about 16 hours on a household 120 Vac outlet. Very happy with the purchase.

So far so good. My stock charger gave out. I ordered one which turned out to be 1MM too large and was really difficult to get off. I feared breaking the input socket, so I returned it. This one slides on and off easy. Quality of charge for 120v is good. Since there isn't a power switch for it I may add an inline switch for ease of use. Nice packaging, comes with protective cover for the charge socket. I'll post again in a month or so assuming quality holds up.

Unit worked great for charging my 2021 prius prime for approximately 9 months... I charge my car about every 3 days... So doing the math, I got about 90-100 charges from this charger and charging cable... Then suddenly - it no longer charges my car... Just makes an audible click now, after a few seconds - and turns off (says "waiting" on display) ... Is there a Reset button or Pause button on this unit that I'm not aware of? Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix or remedy?

Works so good we bought another. One to keep in the car and one to hang on the wall for convenience. The most common electrical outlet you'll find. Charges our EV6 on a warm day @ 6 miles of range per hour of charge. Works good with inverter generators, solar, and common household outlets. (We also have a 30 amp and a 48 amp for faster charging). During Los Angeles blackouts the low draw jives well with back up solar power.

This review is about initial quality because I’ve had the EVSE for less than a day. First of all, given the price, this EVSE has no business being this good! The front of the unit has a sunlight-readable display which shows instantaneous Amps, total kWh delivered, total time charging, and temperature (the manual doesn’t say whether this is the plug temp or the box temp, but I’m guessing the latter). It cycles between the readouts, or you can press a button to switch them manually. There is also a large strip of colored LEDs that allow you to read charging status from across the room. The cord feels like a high quality silicone rubber, with good strain relief at both ends. I didn’t measure the length, but the manual says 24 feet, which looks about right. Fit and finish on the J handle (the end that goes in your car) feel excellent and solid. I didn’t test the GFCI or overcurrent protection, but pressing the release switch on the J handle immediately stops the charge session. Level 2: the unit I purchased was advertised as Level 1 only and came with a NEMA 5-15 plug on the inlet end. However, the manual in the box claims it can take 240V input. I may test the later. The only thing missing (potentially) is longevity. I’ll update the review if the unit breaks on me.

I got this for my Ford C Max Energi as the original wasn't included with my used car purchase. Since I lived in apparent building I never had a place to plug it until the last few month where I live on the ground floor with a outlet. From a empty charge of 11 amps it takes about 6 hours to charge and the range is more then enough for me to get to work and charge there too meaning I don't have to use my gas unless I want to use my AC. I use a extension cord and try to limit to being exposed to rain/water but a over night light drizzle had me finding it still working so it has a good degree of water resistance to it. If after the one year mark if I have similar issues that long term user are commenting about I will update and change the rating then from Feb 22.
