I was impressed with the initial opening of the package as everything was packed inside with plenty of bubblewrap and protective packaging. Was also nice to see the button area of the charger covered with a protective peel as well. After removing said packaging, I was surprised just how thick the cable itself was. You know this thing is made to last a long time and safely at that. When I started using the charger, all I had was the traditional 120V connector (NEMA 5-15) available and thankfully they include a nice little adapter to do just that. With that connector, I was able to get 12A of charging speed. Context: I set my charging limit to 70% for the highest capacity and lowest battery strain based on charts you can find online. With my All-Wheel Long Range Model 3 Highland, I will usually drain about 10-15% in a day by the time I get home to charge overnight. If I plug in around 4PM and need to get up by 15%, it will usually take until midnight. If you just need to top off about 20-25% each night, the 120V/12A charging will work just fine. You really don't need the Tesla Wall Connector unless you're an Uber driver or something where you get down to 20% or less each day and need to get to 100% by the next day. Fast forward a week or so and I was able to get a 240V/16A NEMA 6-20 Plug installed and I do indeed now have 16A charging speeds at 240V so I'm now using this charger to its fullest extent. If you take a look at my attached screenshot, you can see I had 14% until 70% and I started charging around 4PM. It completed at 70% at 7:15PM just as predicted in the Tesla app. With the 120V/12A speeds, it would have normally took until early in the morning or midnight at the fastest. Good stuff. Oh and by the way, I literally didn't have to do any setup whatsoever to get the button to properly open my charging port remotely. It works every time and I can push the button from about 10 feet away and it still works every time. Of course, you just need to have your phone key on you and have your Tesla unlocked for the button to work. Overall, I absolutely love this charger. For $130 at the time of writing with coupon, this is a GREAT deal if you just need to top off each night with some casual, daily driving to work and back, maybe a few errands in between. This is all you need. If you already have a Wall Connector at home, this is also a great option to throw in your trunk/frunk for charging on-the-go. That's where I have the bag that came with this as well. But yeah, you can't go wrong with this mobile charger. Great quality, nice, long and thick cable with a pleasing aesthetic. Well done, Romaa.
